RE: Spektrum vs. Futaba?
I have tried both the Spektrum and the Futaba systems. Way to any brown outs and receiver blinking light's on the Spektrum systems. The Futaba haven't let me down yet. Always a solid green light and never has let me down.

Mine is a CG Chipmunk. I build it in 1989. The best combo was a O.S. BX-1 and ever so slightly tail heavy.

RE: BCMAEngines
This post is way overdue. I bought my BCMA 26cc last December 2007. And as of January 2008 my motor finally ran the way I wanted is to. I had to send it back to Adam to be retimed. The carb had alot of black junk in it. Also change the carb to a Walbro Wt-201b. I dont think I would do a BCMA again. I'm looking @ a Brillelli for my next project.

RE: Magnum XL 120AR
Try a webra 120 with a 15x8 APC prop. You dont need the high $ plug. On the ground they make aroung 9300 rpm. I have one on a 8.5lb CGB 300 and a 14lb Stinger, they fly great. Dont get all worked up about compression. When the ring warms up it will make compression.

RE: Seagull Superstar 120
Before you spend the bucks for a YS 120. Try a Webar 120 with a 15x8 APC . I have a YS 120 on a Funtana 90 and I think for the $ youll like the Webra. I've bought three of them on E-bay with muffler for only $90. The Webra loves the power band around 9800 rpm on the ground.

RE: Seagull Superstar 120
WWll plane. This year I went to both of the Denver shows. War Birds Over Denver, And the Rockies as well. Allot of people fly the P-47 Thunderbolts. Some with ZDZ 80's, man talk about a fast plane that gets the job done. And they (only) fly about 7-10 planes @ a time all day long. I'll be going back next year. The only Military plane I have is a BAE Hawk. Its electric, I use a Little Screamer motor. moves along for a foamy. I cant fly my Funtana like 3D. I always like the plane. And watching Kyle Woyshnis got me back to flying in 2004. My son has a Hanger-9 p-51. It has a Satio 125. It's a rocket. He not only solos his first time out. but landed the plane in the middle of the runway. That really hurt because I'm trying to find the runway. Kids and computers. Maybe see you @ the field or @ the Wichita Auction. Come down, Only need AMA to fly. Not many people fly At your field. Yesterday at 3:00 only two of us were flying.
