RE: My 1st Belt Driven Tamiya - Durga DB-01
Did i say 'sealed' ? ment sealable (one or two small gaps apparently).... Yes, I think of it as if the TRF501x and XXX-4 got funky ! ;)

RE: My 1st Belt Driven Tamiya - Durga DB-01
It should have the same suspension and handling as the 501x but with 1)better balance due to the more even layout (501x's were apparently a bit left heavy) 2) also has a sealed driveline which makes it more reliable and less prone to worn belts and pulleys. By the time I've optioned mine up it's going to end up costing as much as a 501x WE but with those two extra points I'd put it ahead...will see soon enough anyway........ Nice watching your build Nauticar........seems those 'belt tentioners' are of doubious purpose..btw, how much height clearance would you say there is in the bay behind the motor (from the bottom of the chassis tray to the underside of the lexan body) ? I'm hoping a Novak Spread Spectrum B/L ESC will fit

I'm toying with the idea of getting one..........I look forwards to watching your build progress....and your overall opinion of it after you've given it a thrash

RE: Do torsen diffs really make a diff(erence) ?
I'm toying with the idea of installing a torsen in a modified 1/18th Vendetta ST ....the powerful 380 size brushless motors (ammo/permax etc) have so much torque that traction from stop is in need of such mechanical aid...
