RE: Two Fuel Tanks on a gasser - How
I have friends that forgot to pull the plug out of the vent line. His DA-150 ran fine the whole flight and after he landed the tank had completely sucked in. I think most (good) engines will have enough suction to draw from two tanks! The other option would be to run a "T" and send one line to each tank. Then their would be two vent lines and two lines connecting to a single line that runs to the carb. Just my two cents, take it for what it is worth. Cheers BZR

RE: Shrike 40 Speed Delema!!!
Thanks for the information Bob, Right now I have been leaning towards the Jett BSE 50 or 60 with the rear exhaust and a tuned pipe. I would just like to know more about that matchup!?. What about a fuel system (the bubbless tanks)? Also why did you angle the tail of your second shrike in? cheers Bret

Shrike 40 Speed Delema!!!
OK guys I have a BIG problem!!! I am currently building two Lanier 40 Shrikes, one for me and one for a buddy of mine. Heres the problem. He is going to be running a Jett 50 sport engine in his and I need to make sure my plane turns out a heck of a lot faster than his!!! I am building both airframes to be identical, so the only variable will be the engine!!! I have been considering a Quickie 500 engine or perhaps a 46-50 size engine. I need ideas and information. So far I have found several good quickie 500 engines such as Jett, Rossi, Nelson. What else is out there that can leave my buddy behind? Cheers Bret

RE: 40% Extra 330 CG Location
On the old style wing the plans are at 4.5" back from the leading egde at the tip. This is on the nose heavy side. I started with mine there and ended up moving it back 1/4". That flew pretty nuetral for IMAC. Some 3D guys go way back from there. If you start at 4.5" and work your way back until you like it you should have good results. The new wings that carden sells have a different taper. They start at 3-3/4" (90% sure that is right)for precision and moves back from there. Good luck BZR

How did a discussion about a 35% Yak turn into an argument about 40lb airplane? [:@] This is rediculous.

12Z vs 12FG
What are the differences between these two systems? Both have 2048 resolution and 12 channels Both appear to have the same basic mixing capabilities. The 12Z uses a Li-Ion and the FG does not. Both will work with the FASST 14ch module. What else is different between these two systems that would effect an airplane/helicopter setup? Thanks BZR

RE: Composite-ARF Integral, kinda build thread
Has anyone been flying the Integral on an OS-160 Two-Stroke or an OS-200 (non-FI) engine? How do the compare on power? I am trying to put together a budget for this airplane and would like some information. Thanks The F.N.G. Bret

OS 200?
Has anyone ran the OS-200 Yet... I am interested in teh OS-200 but not the Fuel Injected version! If I had the money the Fuel Injected version would be awesome. How about an OS-200 with a perry oscillating pump? Any thoughts on the OS-200 VS an OS-160 Two stroke? Thanks The F.N.G.

Can't you find something better to do?
ORIGINAL: as722 No I don't see stabs on that photo but this is what you said. RE: 40% 260 on a Diet
There are usually two types of threads on RCUniverse... The first is posting a question where the individual posting wants feedback and opinion from others. This does not appear to be one of them! This thread is the second type of thread usually found on RCU... It is informational. 260MAN is posting this information here for everyone to see... NOT TO RECIEVE NEGATIVE COMMENTS!!! I agree with Jason... There are too many "Keyboard Pilots" posting nasty comments here!
ORIGINAL: Jason 3-Danhakl Bob101 Ever hear of the term Keyboard Pilot?
9Z Stick is Broken
The plastic at the base of my rudder/throttle stick on my 9Z is cracked. This allows the stick to move without moving the flight surface. The crack is not major but I am a little worred that the stick might come loose in time. Do I need to send the radio in to get fixed or can I replace a part myself? Thanks Bret

RE: 40% Carden Extra 260 - My 1st Carden Build
Matt Merciez Could you post a few more pictures of your pipe tunnel? I have a set of full pipes on the way from DA and plan on mounting them the same way you did. Some more pictures showing better detail would help a bunch. Mainly of how you have the "mount with the rubber supports" mounted into the fuselage. Thanks Bret
