HotBodies Tornado Skyline RTR
does anyone have any information or links to reviews on this car. ive been looking at it and it seems to be the best car for the money by far (£210). It comes with 2 speed, .16 engine, etc. my other option would be an HPI RS4 3 RTR for £200. which has only single speed and from what ive heard, a rather poor .15 FE engine. Thanks Josh

RE: Need Advice on New RTR Car
well, sorry to say, you arent gonna get what you want. 50-55mph out of the box? (not that i know of anyway [;)]) just isnt gonna happen. why not just replace the bits you broke with better ones and have yourself a very nice 4-tec? [:-] a hopped up 4-tec is gonna be better than any RTR car you can buy..

RE: TC3 vs RS4 3 vs 4-Tec for bashing/1st touring car...which one?
i would say that the NTC3 and RS4 3 are pretty equal in thier stock RTR states. the 4-tec has the higher top end by far, but acceleration suffers. i have heard that the NTC3 offers the best all round performance. but is far more expensive than the RS4 3 - here in the uk the rs4 3 rtr is only £200 and the NTC3 rtr is £300. if you are looking kit versions then the difference in price is going to be even larger. as the kit alone for ntc3 is £260 or sumin here. then you add another £80-£100 for a decent engine and you are well over the price for the rs4. so, the question is. is it soley for bashing? if so, i think the rs4 3 would be your best bet. mainly because it is cheaper. the performance difference at stock between the rs4 and ntc3 are not worth the extra £100. i personally am looking at the rs4 3 (rtr), or the hotbodies Tornado (also rtr). it has 2 speed as standard and is only £220. the 4-tec is £250 here in the UK. but i personally think the build quality looks a little suspect, but if you want something thats very fast it may be for you. you may have guessed, im not keen on spending anymore than £250 on what is basically a toy [:D] i will not be racing, and will more than likely get bored of the novelty that is rc cars a few months down the road. but again, that is just me. hope this helps you come to a decision. RE: Need Advice on New RTR Car
i know the rs4 3 rtr and many others can only manage 35mph (ish) with single speed. i cant see that the ntc3 is gonna be able to manage 10mph mph more at stock. does anyone have any figures? and not guesses.. lol

RE: First Time Nitro Buyer
im in the UK. local hobby stores are shite. whatever i get the hobby stores have a very limited supply of parts. most of my parts would be ordered online. i would ensure that the car i bought had supplies readily available on the net (www.modelsport.co.uk etc).

RE: First Time Nitro Buyer
i had no idea that the evo had a 1.3 hp engine. as far as i can remember from the research i did a ur or so ago when i wanted to buy one then 1.3 hp is a lot for a 1/10th scale [:D]. so am i right in thinking that the car would be very fast? 45mph+ stock? the Hotbodies Tornado is still in the running though. does anyone have any detailed information? i.e. engine power, top speed etc?

RE: First Time Nitro Buyer
the Hotbodies RTR Tornado (Nissan Skyline) looks like a very nice car. it even looks pretty cool. how does it perform? speed, accleration etc... also.. my friends do not have RC cars. i just had an electric tamiya thingy (TA-02 i think) with a couple of hop ups. it does okay but im bored of it. not fast enough and charging batteries gets quite dull after some time. i would just mess about with it on the days i have nothing better to do. [:D] racing my mates car down the road would be pretty fun.

First Time Nitro Buyer
hi there, im currently looking for a 1/10 scale nitro car in the UK. im not going to be racing. its just for a bit fo fun with my mates on the road outside my house and car parks etc. [:)] i would like a quick car, that looks good, and is easily maintained (.e. replacement parts should be readily available here in the uk). im dont really wanna spend loads. i dont mind having either a kit or a RTR. but im guessing kits are cheaper and you get to build your car [8D] where do i start? i've been looking at the NITRO RS4 3 EVO - BMW M3 RTR. £275 is a bit too much really.. but it seems like a good deal and ive heard that hpi offer decent entry level packages. is it any good?
