RE: Boomerang TORUS build thread
Veroaviaor, Your probably right about the quality on the boomers, the good part is all the designs fly really well. I am sure once you get a few flights on the Torus you will forget all the complaints on the build and quality. Happy landings Chatty.
ORIGINAL: BaldEagel
ORIGINAL: c_makhija Hi Guys, Not sure if A123s come in 3200 capacity, on the other end cannot go wrong with PB quality. Any feedback would be appreciated. Dave, The manual says, charging with a compatible charger not greater than 1C through the battery lead will balance the 2 cells but the safety protection will not be active. Thanks for the feedback, should go with these packs then. Chatty.

Power box Life battery.
Hi Guys, Anyone using these batteries from PB? Needed 2 for my my SG hawk and thought the size should be perfect at 3200mah each. I am not a great fan of charging batteries without knowing how much capacity has gone back into the battery after a days flying, but PB says these could be charged with a compatible charger and the cells would balance automatically with the internal circuitry. (If i read correct) Not sure if A123s come in 3200 capacity, on the other end cannot go wrong with PB quality. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Chatty. http://www.powerbox-systems.com/e/powerbox_systeme/powerbox_battery_3200/start.php

Hi Guys, Skygate has supplied some lead weight in the kit, looks like its used to balance the horizontal stab. Are you guys using the weights to balance the stab, if yes, do i make a slot in the root leading edge to install the weights. Can someone give me the neutral position of the stab. Thanks Chatty.

Squirrelboy, i too use A123 2300s on all my jets. 12X and spectrum Rxs on lots of airplanes, hundreds of flights and luckily not even a glitch so far. One thing i do on all my jets is install the data logger at least for the first 25 flights or flying at a new field. i think it gives a great feedback on installation of the satellite Rxs. Chatty.

For servo leads i use DB9 connectors and that leaves no connections at all to be made for me .. just slide wing on, and that it ... ~V~
Hi Woj, I too have used the airpower ones on my TH viper, one year down and the fittings are doing great so far.
