RE: Another Skymaster Viper
ORIGINAL: Jascat100 Put another six flights on my Viper today. Cannot believe how slow this jet will land. The only problem I have is, the mains gear doors will not stay closed, even when flying quite slowly. I am thinking of removing them & just keeping the nose door. Anyone found a fix, perhaps by repositioning the door rams. Longer rams may be the answer, but I don't think they come any longer. This would allow the door fixing to be further along the door, giving better leverage. I don't fancy the magnet idea, but it may be the second last resort before I remove them. Fitting the bypass (which I have) would also probably solve the problem. I also thought of reducing the amount of air coming into the fuz through the air intakes.mmmmm......
Jim, as Ali concurs with what I told you this morning, you need stronger rams (UP's or Robarts) and the problem will be solved. BTW, it was seven flights, not six[;)] Bring the Nano tomorrow to St. Barbara? Chris

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Hi Kaon, I flew in Imbaba between 1986 and 1994, when I left Egypt, semi-permanently. At times, when Imbaba was being closed for security reasons, myself and the older Cairo RC flyers, used to fly at my farm in Wadi Natroun (I made a short concrete runway for that). I guess, from the old gang Bebo (Bahaa) should still be lurking around. Those were tough times for us, back then, no model shops and only one club to supply some Balsa wood...then St. George opened up near Cairo Airport and some more modelling stuff made its way to us. You guys are now spoiled with that new shop in Nasr city!! BRG, Chris
ORIGINAL: KAON Hi Chris, well now you know i exist :) PM i'll send you my #, call me if you come back. well, imbaba is now closed for us, again!!. but we do have 6th october airport available for all RC Flyers now officially on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. its great flying there too but far. did you fly your planes here in Egypt before?? Todd, I have the P80 non SE, i don't think it reaches 21lb of thrust, i never measured it but i reckon it must be 18-19lb or so?? what do you think? Regards KAON
RE: 2.4 GHz Weatronics, PPM or PCM?
ORIGINAL: loukos OK now im FRUSTRATED! David, Gerhard, i have tried everything you advised me and the results are as follows: The battery connection and module connection are solid, when I have te weatronic module on the battery flickers, when i switch to the spektrum or graupner 35mhz, the battery is stable?!?!?. I have downloaded all the files from weatronic usa, my computer goes through the new hardware wizard only to come out with an error message at the end saying ''there was an problem in installing this harware an error has occured during the instalation of this device and the harware cannot be installed''. I have tried this countless times over and over again. Gerhard as per your advice i guided the computer to where the USB file is and nothing. Please confirm the files on the download page of you website are ok, the USB file is quite small. Regards Loukis
Louki, Try another USB cable. I, also had problems opening the Giga software on my Vista computer, then I downloaded the software on my XP computer and the program opened. Then I found out that I could only use one of my numerous USB cables to connect the module to the computer, so that the software can recognise it. Chris
