Hi guys, anyone installed or installing the strut(landing gear) covers or fibreglass leg covers(between the wheel well and retract mount) in the wings. Any problems flying the UF without any of the two?

I find attaching the bellmouth to the pipe with screws, not a clean install . Any you guys attaching the bellmouth to the pipe with pop rivets? If so Aluminum or Stainless pop rivets? And what size you using?

I thought the packers were used under the fuse fuel tank only for proper position of the tank mount. And were not used on final assembly to allow fuel tank to expand if needed. Thats a just a guess on my part. Thanks on the quick reply. I will wash out the tanks with kero and then assemble. I will try to post some pics of the Prolink landing gear.

Dreamworks Prolink retracts and struts work and look great, but require some work to the airframe for perfect fit. Just retract mount needed trimming, everything else fit perfect.

Has anyone wash out the fuel tanks(give them a cleaning) before assembly? I washed them out(fuse and wing tanks) with mild soap and water, and the tanks will not dry out, its been almost a week. I don't want to assemble them till all moisture is gone. Its the last thing to be done before first fire up. Also do the packers stay under the fuse fuel tank on final assembly?

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video
Another question, my inner tailpipe is 13mm(CARF is recommending 6-8mm which I can't see it happening) from the outer pipe at the tailcone. the outer pipe is about 1-2mm from the tailcone(fibreglass end). Bellmouth to inner pipe is mounted to a minimum(CARF recommends starting at 10mm and then adjust). the outter edge of the bellmouth is flush with bulkhead F6. I can"t see it getting the gap closer. Hows everyones setup or is it me?

RE: C-ARF Ultra Flash build Thread + Video
Installing a Jetcat P160sx, I notice I'm not requiring any engine spacers(CARF recommends 5mm spacer for Jetcat engines), looking thru center of tail pipe at turbine it looks centered. Anyone having to do the same? Also the manual shows using packers between fuel tank(fuse) and front fuel tank support while assembling(building), would the packers be used on final assembly?

Painting your jet?
What is the best way or what do most of you guys do when painting(or appling primer) your jet? Is it easier, or does it matter to paint the jet assembled(flaps, elevators, gear doors, hatch, etc.) or just paint(or prime) all parts separately and then assemble the aircraft. Concerned that all movable parts(elevators, rudder, gear doors, etc) will stick or no come apart after the paint(or pimer) is cured. Just looking for some advice. Thank you.

Great work. The carbon layout in the fuse is that done at the factory(does it come that way?) or was it done by the builder? Enrico

Ron v U, great install. On the third picture, the tail shot I was wondering what is the white patch(fibreglass) in the servo holes? I see you got JR8711 servos in the tail(elevators)? And are you using the wing tank(plus fuse tank) with the P160sx?

It seems to me a little of both(height and heading). Don't get me wrong its a impressive flying machine. Also fast, thats why I'm wondering about the business end(powerplant) of the aircraft. I'm installing a JC Cheetah in mine, just wondering what he has? Check it out, its on Speedword/DesertStorm Rollcall forum on RCU. Would like to know what he thinks of the Ultra Flash, his comments?

Just watched a video of Shui flying his Ultra Flash at Speedworld/DesertStorm Fun Fly. Anyone know what Shui has for power in his UF? Whats he have for equipment in that thing? Also it looked like on the video that the UF was having a hard time maintaining a knife edge. I know its not Shui.

"tahfiet" real nice install and cograts on your first flight with your Ultra Flash. Quick question if I may ask. What type of retract and landing strut with wheels are you using? It looks very sturdy. Thanks,
