RE: Sig Ryan STA
A friend of mine let me get his scratch built 95in ws Ryan out of his hangar after sitting for years. It is a sport version powered by an OS 1.08 engine. It flew recently with just a few hickups. There is a picture in my gallery. I wasn't sure how to post one here.

RE: If you could only have FIVE airplanes, what would they be?
I like the planes that don't crash. The Great Planes Easy Sport and Sig Midstar forty have'nt been mentioned yet. The Sig Astrohog is an alltime favorite.

RE: Hobby Lobby Minitelemaster Floats
Finally got around to fitting a set of Hobbyzone super cub floats on my minitelemaster. I am using a Supertigre .10 brushless motor with 2200 lipos. First attempt was disappointing as it just did not want to become airborne. Drained battery enoungh it limited Esc. I tried a smaller prop and fixed that problem but now it when it does flnally come off the water it doesnt seem to have enough power. Can anyone recomend a motor that would work with my components. I think it has a 30 amp speed controller. Even thought about installing an OS .10. Thanks Mike.

RE: Astro Hog 1st Flight
How many versions of the Astro Hog were made and how do you tell the difference? I have a Sig and one I am not sure of. The unidentified Hog has less dihedral than a sig and a larger fuse and smaller cockpit area.

RE: Hobby Lobby Minitelemaster Floats
Thanks Garry for the info. I have been in this hobby for about a year. I thought the Mini Tele would be a good choice for my first attempt off water as it is an easy flier. Is there anything else I would need to know about this first attempt?

RE: ELECTRONICS SETUP on GAS PLANE
Well Dan I like your old school approach to the hobby. I am not one to go out and buy the first new item out there. If it works why replace it? Anyway I have a question for you. I use 4 cell Nickel Metal Hydride 2000 mah packs and Futaba. Do these packs have the same failrate as the Nicads? Thanks for the info here on RCU.

RE: Hangar 9 Pawnee 80
Yes this was an easy fix. Just added a small amount of epoxy to the mounts. I didnt think I was applying to much pressure when installing the screws. Yes the Pawnee is a well built model and an easy one to assemble and looks great. I am sure I will test out the main gear. Ha Ha Thanks for all the great info on RCU.

RE: Hangar 9 Pawnee 80
I finished my Pawnee this weekend. I used a Evolution 61 engine. It took two four cell batteries in the tail to get it to balance. When installing the servos in the wings I had two of the wood servo mounts break loose. I dont think they were glued properly. Did anyone else have this problem?
