RE: any dads
My dad was really big into the giant RC, nitro powered, gyro-less helicopters with his dad when he was a teenager "back in the day" and a couple years ago after I got a rustler, we got two ae gt2s to race each other with, we are hooked on RC's because now we both have crawlers and are looking into helicopters too[:D] I have to say, this is an awesome Father/son hobby!!

RE: gt2 engine trouble
yeah, and i'm not sure if it's actually leaning out, it;s just reacting very sluggishly and I dont think it's the piston/sleeve because my dad's car is doing it too and his car has probably been run half as long and hard as mine[8|]

RE: HOLY $#!%
I got a gt2 with my dad and it was so fun that we got another one and we race them every weekend at the local rc track I would definetly reccomend this car, I have bashed mine a bit and it has held up VERY well although the hpi firestorm is another good bet if your more of a hard core lead foot basher instead of a hardcore racer [8D]

What do I need ?
I want to start raacing my gt2rs at the local track and I want to know what servos, radio gear, tires, hop-up parts, etc. are recomended. Right now, I'm planning on getting a spektrum dx2.0 and pro-line bow tie tires to start. Also, should I put pin tires on all four wheels or should I put pins on just the rears and ribbed tires on the front? thanks =)

RE: Firestorm vs. TA GT 2 RS
I was originally going to get either a firestorm or a gt2 rs to race and I was about to get the firestorm but i decided to for a lighter car over a more powerfull one. Let me tell you, if you get a gt2 rs you won't be disapionted, I got mine a week ago and the tires are already gone and I haven't taken the carb restricter out yet[:D] I'm still suprised at how powerfull the ae .15x

what tires??
I got a gt2 rs thurday night and broke it in and drove it almost all day yesterday and now there's hardly anyting left of the tires[:D] so I'm planning to get some offroad tires and some onroad tires, my question is- what tires have the best balance inbetween performance and life?(both onroad and offroad) also, if I want to set the car up with onroad tires, should I have ribbed tires

firestorm or gt2 rs?????
compared to a rc10gt2rs- how does the firestorm handle? which one's lighter? how are the engines? also, I went to my local hobby town usa the other day and talked to their rc mechanic (he's been around, knows alot) and I asked him what he thought about the firestorm, and he, being a team associated guy, said that he doesn't think too highly of hpi one reason being becase on the savage sometimes the chassis will flex and the engine will mive away from the spur gear and strip the spur gear, worst of all, they haven't fixed it. So does any body know of any flaws in the design of the firestorm or gt2 ? thanks[:D]

Firestorm owners- I need your advice!
I'm most likley getting a firestorm here in the next few months and I want some feedback from those who own or owned one (or if you've just driven it) like- what parts usually break first, how good is the stock engine (on a scale of 1 to 10)? is there anything I should know before I get one? etc. thanks[8D]
