RE: A Grand Day Out.
Shame Mr. Huxford didn't make it again, was looking forward to seeing the maiden of his Mig, they seem to fly well also
. So was i, i was doing the final checks on it saturday night when the U/C fill valve started leaking, which meant both the front equpiment trays had to come back out, (just seems like this plane doesn't want to fly) Anyway that caused all the teddies to be thrown out of the cot and i couldnt be bothered to get the flash ready. I will be at the next one and the mig will fly, the next one is the 6th isn't it? Carl

RE: Boomerang Sprint with VT80 problem.
I just put some ply under the mount to make it the correct width and then glue another strip the same thickness as the mount on top, this will increase the mount width but not hight. I see you are also from Preston, where do you fly?

RE: Jetlegend Mig 29 Fulcrum
I to have add some carbon cloth to the rear end, now it is very strong and does not deform when sitting on the stand. I seem to have a different problem to everyone else, my pipe needs to go on top of the rails to line up with the exhaust, but this creates a lot of down thrust angle on the pipe, I was thinking of mounting the engine under the rails to get it to line up.

RE: Jetlegend Mig 29 Fulcrum
Ian or anyone else for that matter, i have been installing my engine and pipe today and have found that i have quite a bit of down thrust on the pipe, is this normal for the mig? I have the pipe mounted under the rails as in Ian's picture above. Cheers Carl

RE: Jetlegend Mig 29 Fulcrum
Just had a phone call from Jamie, looks like snow has stopped play for tomorrow. Yeah 4 totally different schemes, shame we can't have all 4 in the air at the same time. I might and see if i can have mine ready for the meeting in two weeks time, if its not ready it definitly will be ready for the one after that.

RE: Multiplex new flagship
Not from Multiplex, but shops are already speculating on prices. Based on their history I don't expect to see the new tx in the shops before 2013.
[X(]2013, i thought it would be coming out soon, think i will go with the royal pro 16 and maybe up grade at a later time

RE: Multiplex new flagship
I did have a club member who uses multiplex show me that sticks are actually quite close to the edge of the case, in fact closer to the edge than my current JR transmitter, it's just that when holding it, it feels so wide, suppose that is some thing you would get used to. I don't use a neck strap at all, so would have to have a play with one to see if i can get to all the switches ok.

RE: Multiplex new flagship
My next radio system will be multiplex, i have been looking at the royal pro 16, but this does look interesting, one question though, is this a tray style transmitter? some of the switches look like they would be hard to get to if you don't use a neck strap/tray

When my mig gets here (hopefuly this week) i am planning on adding some carbon to the thin parts of the fuse, my question is what weight of carbon cloth should i be using?

RE: Jet Legend Mig 29 inflight breakup.
I personally think the amount we pay for these models they should be right from the factory, no need to redo things to make them safe to fly,

This has definitely taken the shine of getting my new model[:@], I'm also not happy to fly it with those stabs, the fuse I can strengthen before I start the install

Not done full power yet Jamie, it's around 30lbs at the mo, don't want to go any higher as I am planning on putting a merlin 140 in and don't want to be dissapointed with the performance compared to a full power 160
