RE: OMP Hybrid Winter project finally done
I have a NX 22x8 on the DL. It tacked at 7300 RPM. I had the motor on a Wild hare 300 Extra to brake it in.

RE: OMP Hybrid Winter project finally done
ORIGINAL: carmerxr400 I finally got my winter project done OMP Hybrid with a DL 50. I will maiden it as soon as the wind quits blowing.
The wind slowed down enough so I could put the maiden flight on my Hybrid. I had high expectations for this plane after reading all the other posts about the Hybrid. Well.......it exceeded what I was hopeing it would do. The CG was a little tail

RE: Lanier Extra 330 94" ARF
Well the brown truck dropped off 3 boxes today I checked it all over and my new Extra 330 shows no damage from shipping. The covering has a lot of wrinkles in it but I think they will come out. The only thing that I see that I don’t like is all of the control surface trailing edges are warped. There is not a straight one in the bunch. I put the wing tube into the wings and found a bad burr at the cut end it filed off ok. I’ll work on the trailing edges to see what I can do with them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

RE: Lanier Extra 330 94" ARF
I Also jumped on the bandwagon and bought the 94" 330 .I have the 87"Extra 330 with an Evolution 58GX2 in it and that motor has lots of power I think that if the 94" comes in at 20 pounds a 58Gx would work.

RE: What's your favorite beater plane?
My favorite beater plane is a Kaos ARF. They fly great in the wind and land short. I have a SPAD that I will fly in just about any wind but I can't say it flys great but it flys.[:D]

RE: Hybrid w/DL50 pics
How did the CG come out. I have read that the Hybrid comes out a little tail heavy with a DA-DL setup. I have the fuse all done on mine and I'm going to start on the wings this weekend. I will be putting a DL in it. How did you get to the throttle and choke linkage to hook them up.

RE: *GP Giant Aeromaster $100.00 Off*
The Brown truck dropped mine GP Aeromaster off last night.[;)] I looked it over a few more wrinkles than I normally see on an ARF. I think that they will shrink out ok. Best of all no broken parts like the last 2 ARF's that I receive.

RE: Let's try again DL-50
ORIGINAL: closetguy
ORIGINAL: carmerxr400 Well I got my DL50 mounted in my Wild Hare Extra 300 LX and a prop on it. 15 flips to prime it and 3 with choke on, a pop choke off, 2 more and it came to life for the first time. I was expecting more vibration but I think that it is smoother than the ZDZ50NG that I took out after the cylinder broke at the mounting lugs.
how did

I got a wt201 and installed it. The 50NG starts better than it ever has. 1 flip from behind when warm and the cold starts are good. The mid range is cleaner also.

RE: How close is to close for tx's on the same channel
Thanks for all the input I think that pulling the pin maybe the best way to handle it for now. Maybe we will try to find a channel thay no one is using and see if he will change to that channel. And yes he came to us to let the club know that he was flying close to the field so I think that he will work with the club.
