RE: Lovin My Avalanche XP like a fat kid loves Cake!
I do not understand what you mean by Move the trigger North? But the large enginre needs to reach high temperatures durring break in 260 deg is a litle high, but usualy good for the engine a sock wrapped around the head can help you reach such temperatures for break in. SHREADDER? Teenage Mutant Nija Turlles?
Someone obviously watched too many cartoons, and played with leggos as a kid... are they serious? What are we still in grade school? Or maybe it is a marketing tool.

Love My aXiaL .23 2s in my Avalanche XP
aXiaL has a .32 also available That I will try next. After my SH .23 started clicking after 3 months of purchase. The aXiaL seems to have plenty of snap and comes with a smaller carburator insert to lessen the power ouput. I paid $113.00 brand new, and is the exact same dimensions as Redcats .23. And with the 7" Mad beast tires I got at www.exceed.com for $18.00 a pair, This setup is un real to say the least.

RE: EARTHQUAKE and Most 1/8 scale Redcat diff upgrade
This upgrade also works for the Caldera 3.0 that was the unit that I initialy did the upgrade on also the hard nose upgrade removing the soft plastic Fr chassy with the rear of an extra aluminum chassy for the caldera and also a shock upgrade using shocks for the Avalanche XP and 2 extra upper suspension arm mounts to raise the shock towers for longer shocks.they are in the threads just a few pages back.

EARTHQUAKE and Most 1/8 scale Redcat diff upgrade
This technique took me about 6 hrs, but since this i havent opened my diffs in months and gone through 3 engines. I Ran my new Caldera 2 days before the differentials wore out, upon opening them found them dry. So before you break in any product with moving parts, I myself prefer to totaly disasemble the unit and make sure the propper lubricants are used. Molly Grease Black will go along ways and wen ever i order Boca Bearings has the most comprehensive RC Bearing search engine on the internet! Bearings no matter how small I dissasemble then soak them in a cleaner and add just a 1/3 of the available space w grease , using the drag technique with grease in my palm then Reasemble. A little messy But ensures proper lubrication. To remove the snap ring you have to find it and get under the hook end and pry it out, and be careful they liketo jump out. I put a glob of soder on a sewing needle loop end about the size of a pea I was going through bearings every week but now every month or more. OK the upgraded Tornado Pinion gear worked the best for me 02030T, it has the best pitch. But it is too thick. You have to wear safety glasses when grinding off the solid end opposite the gears about 1 to 2 mm from the base of the gears, making sure it is even or it will wobble then using a chain saw blade sharpening stone. I reamed out the shaft hole to where it went on rather snug. And then for the pin slot i used a dremmel cutting wheel keeping it centered your gonna make it a little to long but as long as the pin is in a low center spot it wont move far. Putting a good washer in between the pin and the Boca Bearings has the most comprehensive RC Bearing search engine on the internet! bearing is important. I used the Slipper clutch spring washer on bolth of mine. Check out these upgrade ideas and more at, www.catbob007.rcuniverse.com . any input is apreciated, and if you can keeper at full throttle, dont dottle.

RE: RE:
Redcat sugests no hotter than 280 deg I always keep mine at around 230 to 250 deg no less than 200. The .28SH loves the heat not like the .18 SH that melts at 230 deg. I always like to return my piston to buttom dead center after running till it cools and isint being pressurized by the head. just makes sense to me is all. I had to pack my stuff up and send my electronics to redcat cause i had a short or domething fried my reciever and wires. They are always helpfull within the 90 days warrenty period. I am at 88 days now and my center diff is probubly in ned of repair though I run grease in all my diffs.Make sure you pull off your front and rear diffs and pack them full of grease cause they come practically dry.

RE: RE:
it could be any # of things from your tires to your alignment to yourshocks having air. whenever you get on the throttle the tires spin faster and expand some sooner than others check the air hole in the inside of the wheels and make sure they are all the same size even some tires come glued better than others. Good luck... And Keeper full throttle don't dottle

RE: RE:
I noticed the same thing last year on www.redcat.com. like compleete rear ends and comnpleete front ends for $17.00 and shocks for $9.00 a pair. they are just over stocked and trying to empty their warehouse aparently. As long as the unit is still for sale on their sight it will have parts available for a long time www.rufaster.com also has many different parts available even for the Monsoon and older models not available. I usually brouse all the XP parts and find compattible stuff for cheap Below the part discription is in fine print compatible with" " each unit. The avalanche XP is one of the best built trucks for me and countless others.

RE: Lovin My Avalanche XP like a fat kid loves Cake!
Yeah those are some nice looking tires where are they from ? They look like the Earthquake tread, But the rims are for a 17mm I have always had to replace the foam in the Avalanche XP tires. The black foam that they come with seems to deteriorate after about a month. I found that couch cussion foam works the best 4" thick cut 1 1/2 " thick X 16 -18 " long with an exacto knife just long enoph to fill the inside of the tire snuggly to alow propper flexing and not have any gaps
