pusher gyro's
Hey Folks. I am building a pusher (bensen style) gyrocopter with a 40 size engine. My question is,I know that pull type aircraft, both gyro's and fixed wing requirs a 2-4 degree down thrust . But what does a pusher engine need for a thrust angle..? Thanks Terry

jato bottles
Hey has anyone usesd rockets to launch a sailplane..? When I was in the service I used to watch over weight aircraft get a jump start with jato rockets on the wings. Any way I am tired of not seeing the prop turning at 20000 rpm and dummy me putting my hand in it.. on my power pod...my bad..? Oh well I guess there are some of us that should stay away from propeller drivin aircraft..Ha Ha Ha ..And to really top the icing on the cake I again stuck my knuckles in my .45 royal pusher with 10/8 a full throtlle .. Slicey Dicey.....smarts abit..looks like a rabbid badger got a hold of the back of my hand.. Oh well,,hope I learn not to keep doing that before I end up with no fingers..! Thanx to any one that answers me...

rc vs uav
Would some like to educate me on the difference between the rc MQ-9 Reaper(called a UAV) and a pusher plane with a skinny fuse and a big wing span. ? I doubt very seriously if the people that are building so called rc uav's are flying them remotely from a video screen like the airforce does with their Reaper or their Predator..! So whats all the big stink about rc UAV's and the FAA ...? Thanks

MQ-9 Reaper
Im thinking about building a MQ-9 Reaper but I want to use my reversed 45 Royal nitro instead of an electric motor. By the way the plane looks from the photo's Ive seen It looks like it would be abit of a fabrication job plus Im afraid it would make it tail heavy, causing me to fill the nose with lead....something I really like to avoid. Make for a very heavy lead sled..! Has anyone built one with a nitro engine ..? any suggestions would be appreciated ....! Thanks. Terry

RE: Converting MSWMM files to AVI ?
Cary.. ! There's a web site called tucows...I have(for free) downloaded more video file converters that you have hair on your head..I guarentee you'll find one there....! When you save "those movies" your making : ) their actually being save as a wmv so converting from a windows media video file to an avi is cake..! Good luck and let me know how you do..? Bob Dodson/LoveSong
Hey fellow soarers I had back in the 80's a flock of Bob Dodson's sailplane from the wing twisting Pixi to the MAGNIFICIANT LoveSong. I spoke to Bob a few years back and he gave me a guys name and number that used to build for him..I finally got a hold of him and he told me he had a few things he would sell me (fuses and wing kits) but nothing complete..I would give my left _ _ _ for a LoveSong or a Older WindSong ...If anyone out there knows where I might find one that would be soooooooooo cool. I would love to fly that wonderful Ship again With 90* of flaps and the nose almost straight down I could put it in the palm of my hand...Oh those were the days...am I doomed to just dream or is there a remote chance of finding one...? Reversing my Royal 45
Oh Well I guess I finally got the hang of this posting thing...me..new here..! However I posted my problem in the test posting section if anyone wants to go there and read my dilema..! Any way Im tring to get my royal 45 to run backwards...The hand made ducted fan kit I bought 25 yaers ago said that all I had to do is turn the carb backwards...didnt work then and after taking a 25 year vacation from the hobby Im back in the saddle again. with the same problem won't start in reverse...Anyone have a sugestions..?
