RE: What are "low rates"?
Low and high rates. distance of reccommended travel of control surfaces. Most computer radio's(transmitters) have two settings for travel of servo's . Ex. Low rate your elevator may move up and down 1/4 inch.... on high rates it moves 1/2 inch up and down.

RE: Zenoah glow plug adapter question on Poulan 42cc?
John the advantage of a gas/glow mix is the weight loss and a small gain in power... You lose the Mag and the flywheel weight. If tuned/mixed fuel right you do not need onboard glow, I have a mac 28 cc that will idle all day long and then slam wide open in an instance.

I use the cool power ST fuel and it doesn't separate at all , I have also tried the traxxas car racing fuel and it seemed to work also.

RE: Melting Aluminum for small parts
You can also create you parts from foam, place in s sand mold, as you pour the aluminiun is melts the foam and fills the cavity. Caution Keep all water away from you melting furnace, and preheat eery thing you place into the molten bath, alu. will explode and pop with exposed to water vapor.

RE: Melting Aluminum for small parts
I work for an aluminum manufacturer, I have access to unlimited suppy of molten metal--bad thing wrong alloy and not heat treated. Alloy could be controlled by what you place in it. but almost impossible for the individual to heat-treat and obtain the correct properties that u are used to in the 60 series alloys. Pure untreated alloys are heavy and very weak...por machineability.

I think its just a return line. Probally went to and external primer bulb. Just block it off or run a line back to the tank.

Engine score
Had a friend give me two engines, an Echo pb1000 (21 cc??)blower and a stihl fs-85 weed eater.. "he said neither one will run there junk" 15 min after I got home both run like a top, just spray clean the carb and adjust the needles and they start right up. Now what to put them in>?????? I have read alot on here about the Echo's but what about the Stihl is it good to convert.

RE: gas fuel with glo plug no ignition
Ki8fr A smaller carb will fix that problem. I have a mac 28cc that will not run on a "28" 11.1 mm carb. Adjust high or low end but never both. Droped down to a "26" carb and runs like a top and the Max Rpm is still the same. your motor just can't handle the larger airflow and bogs..

Two engines both dead!!!
I took apart two engines I had yesterday. 1- a little 19cc (weed eater brand ) leaf blower, piston connecting rod gualded and rubbing the case oh well no loss 2- Then a 25 cc leaf blower (craftsman) I really wanted this engine it was so light , set up for glow it weighted 2 lbs 13 oz with stock muffler.. I actually had it running once in the blower but when I took it apart the piston is gualded and the bore is slightly groved.. I guess no way to repair.. well repair cheaply that is... How hard is it for people to mix two stroke oil really ARGGGGGG...n Sorry just venting.

The jerks @ Traxxas will not say what oil content they have. I sent them a letter back a few months ago asking about oil content. and They just jerked me around .never would say how much oil is in there mix. I tried to explain what I was doing with it but the guy just wouldn't listen just kept saying it wouldn't work for airplanes.........
ORIGINAL: xrae One last thing using this carb I had to tap the case & carb so it would pump fuel. It's not very hard mind you but a little unsettling for a person doing their first conversion.
Could you explain this or maybe post a pic or two thanks.
