RE: 1/8 Buggy Tire
What will you be doing with the buggy is my first question for you. If youre just bashing, any tire with some big lugs should work ok all around, however for racing there are more things to consider. How hard packed is the track? How much of the track is groove, and how deep is the stuff on the side if you miss the groove?

RE: RC car and plane onboard camera. Whats good?
I have a few cameras that I have used in my stock car. Right now what I am using is the Gopro HD Hero 2 facing forward, and the Replay XD facing rearward. The Gopro has much better picture quality, but is a bit bigger and boxier than the replay. The replay has pretty good picture quality, but the main draw of it is that its much sleeker (probably be better for your plane application, more aerodynamic) I dont have any RC Videos from them, but heres a couple of in car videos from my stock car Forward facing Gopro vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZFyPl-8GBw Rear facing Replay XD vid of the same heat race http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ejq366auX4o

RE: Nitro or electric?
I have the Kyosho Inferno Neo buggy, and am a big fan of it so far. I immediately put a good steering servo in it (Hitec 5995TG) but left the stock throttle servo. The other thing you would want to do, at least with the buggy, is to swap out the shock towers ASAP. The stock towers are a bit weak. Not sure if the truggy has the same problems with shock towers that the buggy does though.

RE: need good HT servo
For something very strong, and relatively cheap, I would suggest this http://www.servocity.com/html/hs-5995tg_servo.html Youll end up choking it down a lot with your EPA from the stock 180 degree rotation, but its wickedly strong, and at that price cant be beat. I have one in each of my 8th scale buggies.

RE: Associated RC8
ORIGINAL: dodge4219 Ok I am a little late to the party, but that is because I just got a pretty good deal on an RC8B2e at Tower Hobbies. I have wanted an 1/8 scale for sometime and figured since I have had a couple other AE products that this would handle just about anything. That and the fact I am in China where parts are a real problem, but like the states there are plenty of websites that sell AE, Traxxis and HPI. I must say though that the other thread got pretty brutal about the guy who just wanted to know what the best 1/8 buggy was! At this point they all look pretty good and can survive so I say just pick one that looks good to you...Anyways just one question. Since this thing is RTR will the stock steering servo last very long as built or should I consider upgrading the steering or servo saver or something?
as for the servos, they will be ok for a while, especially since theyre running on lipo power in the biggy, however, I would have a spare ready in case the stock one goes bad when youre out playing. Get a good strong and quick servo and put it in your toolbox, or take the good one and install it and leave the stock one in your toolbox for emergencies

How much different are clay and super soft tires? Id like to have one set of tires that can do it all if possible.

RE: Team Associated B4.1 Brushless RTR
I am getting pretty excited about this little buggy. Should be a blast to run. I gotta get more info on the track that I am gonna be running at, although I did find some videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-OpK0CxFhk&feature=share&list=ULp-OpK0CxFhk Definitely going to go with some super soft tires to get that bad boy to go where I want it.

Team Associated B4.1 Brushless RTR
Does anyone have one of these? I just scooped one up cheap off ebay to go run indoors this winter. I was wondering what the hot upgrades are for this little buggy? This is my 1st 1/10 buggy so I am kinda lost as to what I need to do to it.

RE: Looking for a new RC
ORIGINAL: cumminspower5.9 Those are nice looking cars. I was lookin at HPI, and I did see the Trophy Truggy Flux. Looks like a nice truck. Only thing is is that it's new so I'm not sure how reviews have gone. Just not sure if 2 25c 2s lipos will get the 1/8th size moving without puffing lipos.
If they arent having a problem with running the Flux, then you shouldnt have much problem running the truggy under the same power, especially since I think they use the same motor and ESC. In all reality though, I would look for either A) an electric Buggy, or B) a truggy that you can convert to electric power.

RE: Buggy or Short Course??
I voted for 1/10 buggy, but personally I would go with whichever has more racers locally. Running against 3 people every week is going to get boring. If theres a good sized class each week I would go with the buggy

RE: A NEWBIE WITH LOSI 8IGHT MINI QUESTIONS
The toe and camber are kind of a personal preference thing. I like to set the camber at probably 2.5 degrees in (negative camber) and the toe at roughly 4 degrees out in the front, and about 4 degrees in at the rear.

RE: Looking for input and ideas!
Ill give you guys a tip I use. For your masking, go to your local wal mart, and pick up some white contact paper. What it is, is essentially sticky backed vinyl on a big roll. When you lay out your design, you can draw it up on the contact paper, cut it out, then lay it out on the inside of the body. The contact paper is sticky, but comes off clean, so it doesnt screw up your remaining paint areas. It works really well for masking off the body. My next buggy bodies will be like my MT2 body up there, with one being mainly red, and the other mainly blue.

Heres a question I dont think has been asked, what are you looking to do with it? Race? Bash? Combination of the 2? What about looking at a HPI Savage flux? If youre looking just to bash around, thats not a bad option. Retarded fast, and really the epitome of a tough bashing R/C

RE: i know what i'm looking for, but at the same time i don't, plz help
Theres only 3 RTR electric buggies that I am aware of. The LX2E, The Inferno Ve Race Spec (my personal choice) and the Losi Eight E (way above budget) The LX2E is a great buggy, and has a lot of aftermarket back up. The Kyosho Inferno Ve is essentially a "budget" model of the MP7.5 turned electric, and can be had for $450, but you will need batteries. It does come stock with an Orion Brushless ESC and motor, and a decent 2.4 radio. Just like any RTR though there will be weak points (servos being pretty universally bad across all RTRs, and in the case of the Inferno, the shock towers. I have a set of King Headz shock towers on the way, which should eliminate the issue, but again, something to consider. Another option may be the ARR Ofna Nexx8. The chassis runs $250, and all you need is motor, ESC, Radio and Servos, which you can get some starter stuff, and move up from there as your budget allows.

RE: i know what i'm looking for, but at the same time i don't, plz help
ORIGINAL: Foxy OFNA Ultra LX2e RTR. There's no better brushless 2.4ghz RTR car on the market,
I would strongly dispute that. My Kyosho Inferno Ve is absolutely awesome. I beat the crap out of mine this last weekend (first time I raced it) and it had no issues other than the shock towers, which was purely my fault for 2 reasons. 1) they are a known "weak link" and have been since they were on the inferno 7.5, and I didnt swap the aftermarket ones, and 2) I was driving the thing like I stole it. It was tumbling down the back straight more often than it was straight haha. Granted, they are a few more dollars than the Ofna, but in my opinion is worth it, especially seeing as it has an Orion brushless setup in it stock.

Molex battery connectors?
Hey guys, I was just wondering what a "molex" plug is? I am familiar with the deans, traxxas and tamiya plugs, but have never heard of the molex plugs. The reason I ask is that I want to go to a starter box soon and amain lists it as having a molex plug. Thanks
