ORIGINAL: Kmot I'll be darned. Well, does anyone got a picture of a Red Bull race pilot wearing a full face motorcycle helmet while flying the airplane? I would really like to see one. I have searched the Red Bull galleries and only seen them wearing open face motorcycle style helmets. I would like to see the full face versions that have been mentioned.
ORIGINAL: mxdubbs
ORIGINAL: Xmoto16 Im not settling i want a 4wd mt nothing else. piddlefoot:  Problem with the Summit is it controls like the bucketo crap itis........We see them at the track, l hope you dont want to keep upwith Tmaxx's or Revo's or Flux's cause you aint gunna. The summit IS NOT as strong. It is a cheap design, be careful. Abrushless E revo is 700ish bucks, plus 40$ postage, the difference isquite unbelieveable, the speed is alot better and control is, LOL ! Sheesh sry man was only tryin to save ya some money long term, l got the summit mixed up with the stampede, sorry my bad ! Of the two your looking at get the summit.   So piddle said the stampede sucks and summit pwns  beside i cant get nitro
Like I said buy a Nitro revo 3.3 5309,It come with eveerything you need exept fuel. You get way longer run times on a charge,Its 4wd,and the suspention is UNREAl!!! Trust me you would like it a lot and I mean A LOT better than the e-maxx/stampede/summet.
Ya I'd go nitro if I were you. But if you can't get the e-maxx. Great truck.

RE: Exceed Madfire...Is it good?
ORIGINAL: SAVAGEJIM Rock on! I definitely stand corrected, and just like you said, you own all sorts of RCs, including an Exceed of you very own in your collection. (More proof that you are not bashing on Exceeds.) I didnt mean to make the assumption that you are new to RCs as your collection with the various upgrades do indicate that you know your stuff as well as the benefits of getting decent upgrades for your rides. I was just trying to express that not everyone can describe RC problems in conclusive descriptions and why some people say things in vague terms and just because people use vague terms, that does not mean that they did not experience the problem.
Ya your right I don't hardly bash or run my exceeds cause it always seems to go bad. I'm always running the baja or revo's. But I mean hey we all like different cars some people like exceed, redcat etc other people don't. Personal choice is all. Thanks again SavageJim for the Baja help.

RE: King Motors Baja Review with pictures
ORIGINAL: SAVAGEJIM To be honest, for bashing, plastic would be better if you want to protect and keep that alum pretty. Plastics are cheap, but they are more susciptible to breakagege. For 5th scale alum, I find that so long as the alum is hardened T6 7075, or even 6061 T6, then they would have to take a serious crash to break or bend. But they will get all scratched up really fast. Plastics will flex some before breaking, but their downfall is that they will flex so much that your RC will bottom out as the plastics exhibit much more strain than what hardened alum would take, and they do have a lower failure point meaning that snap before tha alum parts would. But again, plastics are way cheap and will spare your pretty alum parts from being beaten up. If you can, try to get the RPM suspension arms. The polycarbonate RPM nylon is way superior to the KM plastics, and believe it or not, the RPM polycarbonate is even superior to the HPI plastics (KM uses really cheap chinese plastics, an HPI, though better than the chinese plastics, uses still relatively cheap taiwanese plastics). Interstingly, the RPM arms are not prohibitively expensive. They are even cheaper than low grade alum suspension arms! http://www.rcplanet.com/RPM_A_Arms_Dyeable_p/rpm82251.htm
Huh cool. Thanks for the help guys. I think I'm going to go RPM all around.
ORIGINAL: mazdaprotege4 Get the summit and then go check out Kershaw Designs, they have motor kits that allow it to still be waterproof and have more speed/power.
Yup I'm right with mazdaprotege4! I think that's the best way to go..The summit is better built than the E-maxx...

RE: Summit Or Emaxx or Other
ya...well I mean it really just depends on what you want to do...If your going over a bunch of stuff you might want the locking diffs and power and ride height of the summit...if your looking for speed go with the e-maxx...really up to you...both are great trucks..

RE: Revo 3.3 vs. Tmaxx 3.3
Hands down the revo...the t-maxx is very fragile and does not take alot of abuse...I ran my revo (by accident) into our campfire pit which has huge rocks around it and the revo just went flying into the air and I flipped it back over and it was ready for more abuse!lol This truck is mad awesome...I can't even begin to think how many times I've crashed my revo!lol Not only that but the revo is so stable!! It's amazing for a Monster Truck...So in my opinon definitely go with the revo and if the racing bug your already set!lol Happy bashing...[:D]

RE: Exceed Madfire...Is it good?
Look. I'll I'm trying to say is that my friend has the car and we run them virtually all the time. And I have many name brand RC's.....Traxxas, Associated, Losi ect. and the exceed just has so many weak points and I've actually had 2 exceed cars both of which sucked. I'm not criticizing or bashing anybody or any company. I just trying to say "I" don't think it's worth the money.

RE: Exceed Madfire...Is it good?
ORIGINAL: chevyderek72 Lmfao. Alright explain why its a bad car. All my redcats (similar to exceed) are awesome, ive had absolutely ZERO problems. If you smack into a curb, its probably gonna break, and thats any rc. My buddy has a traxxas rustler nitro, ive always had problems with it, so that means that all traxxas' are bad cars, right? No.
Ok well first off the engines are poor quality if you compare them to name brand stuff like Traxxas or LRP or O.S. Bad bad engines. Second the plastics are poor quality and no the exceeds and redcats are not the same as any other rc. My revo I can smack into the curb at well over 30mph and it doesn't break. Third the components...I.E Bearings, diffs ect. are also cheap. Like I said they're ok for the first 3-5weeks but then all the weak points come up and they're not worth the money. Sorry if I sound rude cause I don't want to be.
ORIGINAL: chevyderek72 It looks to be awesome. Dont believe people when they say they are crap. They dont and havent owned one. Or broke it themselves and blame it on the company.
No my friend has one and it's ok for a while but then all the problems come and it's just a bad car. You should see my local hobby store they're flooded with exceed especially the "racing editions". It's unreal. Want a bang for your buck go with ofna. They make great buggies...I have one and just love it!

Everybody that I know and myself take the readings at the top of the header. It's pretty close to plug depending on how big the header is. A laser temp gun is best for accurate temp readings.

RE: T-Maxx is jerking me around.
ORIGINAL: quietnas1 Ok quick story. Buddy of mine at work who has never been into RC aquired a T-Maxx 2.5 for free in pretty good shape but he could not get it started. He gave me the truck so I can get it running for. 1st when he gave it to me it had gas in the tank that was sitting there for about a week. So I drained it out and him that is a definate no no. I cleaned the motor out today and got to run. It idles fine and runs good but when I come to a dead stop and it just sits there idleing it JERKS forward every few seconds about a half inch. Every time it jerks I can hear a click. My question is, is it the clutch that may be damaged or something in the tranny. I notice even at a dead stop the the spur gear stays spinning. When I come to a dead stop with my RC10GT or my Jato the spur gear also stops. I feel it may be the clutch but not 100% sure. !st time working on a Monster Truck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Ya your idle speed is to high. That 2.5 tranny is know to be a pain. Just lower the idle speed but not to much and i would get new clutch pads if I were you.
