RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications
good the hear you flew it fever i got mine out last night an had the great Mike barbee coach me on man was i glad he was there i had 2 16OZ tanks through the 95ax so we checked out the engine tone an set it to get it up to high RPM s leaving a few clicks rich to brake the 95 ax back in.. i have the in cowl muffler with header i used my dreimal to in large the header inlet to roughly match the open of the 95 ax exhaust port .. funny thing was i mid range it did cut so we restarted an took it off the field not trying to over power the bird just nice an easy i got the gear up an poof the bird dead stick so then mike goes into action calmly talking me down to turn strait for the field then right before i turn to swoop onto the run way drop my gear guys it was beautiful the wind helped out sense it was coming right down our runway an i ended up in the tall grass shooooo that was close soo the verdict was to get the honey up easy an take my time but once up, dump full throatal an clean out the motor of fuel i may consider an in cowl glow ignighter to keep the plug hot.. had 2 more great flights after that an had allot of fun the sun was going down an the wind died down too just perfect like a dream guys like a drean thanks Mike Barbee

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications
OK thanks that is what i wanted to know i had a 1.20 ax on my bird last yr an found it with to much power just half throatel was all i needed plus the wight i had to come up with mad scientist idea to spread the weight out across the plane our war bird gooroo who builds an fly's in top gun every year asked my what such the heaver an more powerful engine so i took it off an put it on my revolver 70" that needed one anyway an just so happen to have a slim line Pitts muffler unused lying around so i said why not 2 oz is 2oz put this 95 ax i have not used yet on it an try it out but i want to buy a wrap around muffler like i did for the 1.20 ax form j-tec they are the best but wow 90 bucks shipped an if it is the same bolt up like the 75 ax n that would be great sense i don't have physicils motor side by side to check this... sad to say i have the used wrap around for a 1.20 ax rear discharge in cowl muffler an it cost the same price if you or any one can let me know if the 75ax an the 95ax match they why can i then put on a in cowl canister muffler?? thanks Carl the city plumber
