RE: Ofna Cd3- Where's it at???
ORIGINAL: jikkuria im not sure on the pipe, but im a fan of picco motors. is it safe to assume that a 150 oz. steering servo would be more than enough for a 1/10 road car?
Yeah a 150oz, servo may be more than you need. The G4S RTR comes stock with 2 Futaba S3003 which is like 35oz and they seem pretty adequate. I upgraded to spektrum Z590 and Z250 for steering and throttle respectively, the car responds quicker and more precise!!

Walkera 59#DQ Coast Guard
Has anyone gotten this Heli, I just happened to stumble on it online and fell in love with the realism. Not sure you'll be able to perform 3D stunts with it, but seems it would be great for a beginner. Can someone give me their impressions of this chopper?!? Try Byron Gen its the best fuel on the market, more power cooler temps, its an excellent blend!! I currently run a t-maxx with OS 18 TM, i think i may need to mod my trans because i've broken a few of the pins that lock the gears to the shaft inside the trans.

RE: starting a tmaxx when hot
ORIGINAL: iamnot a poor tune will do the same thing in my experience if the pinch - or lack of is the problem it's not long before it just starts to die once it's warmed up if your's has been doing this for a while it's probably tuning if it's just started doing it reset to factory settings and retune anyway it's free and may fix the issue...
I totally agree, i don't think you need a new piston and sleeve or a new engine unless you really want to buy one. Its likely your low speed needle setting is too lean, so it won't start when hot. Reset both needles to factory settings.

RE: SH .28
Depends on the climate in your area for the glow plug, i'm running a medium temp GP, Mccoy MC8, OFNA medium or the best yet OS8 ! Needle settings are gonna be hard to tell, reffer to your manual (don't quite remember if it has the stock settings).

Thats a great price whats the cost with shipping?? i think you may need to change the body to a sedan body if and when you buy it. The lola bodies are not allowed for most 1/10 racing ie if you plan to race!

RE: Belts vs. drive shaft for RC Nitro On-road cars
ORIGINAL: RedcatRacing Here is a belt driven 1/8 scale car we are in the process of testing right now. Our Typhoon will be available next month, but the one pictured below is geared specifically towards racing and speed. Will let you all know if we decide to carry it. Darin
Darin, i think you should carry a 1/8 scale on-road high speed car, i''m in the market for one right now and the choices are not many. The Kyosho Evolva and the Mugen MRX- 3 or MRX-4 are possible suspects, but the prices are quite high!! HPI also has the 1/8 scale Proceed, but it has been discontinued i don''t think HPI supports it anymore. Keep us posted on your plans with this car, i may delay my purchase until next month, can you give us a sneep peak on this one?? Engine size, electronics body type etc ?!? As regards the debate, belt drive or shaft drive, belt drive is a better choice for on-road cars because it makes for a more balanced car. The momentum caused by the rotating shaft at high speeds usually cause the chassis to be less stable, manufacturers tend to offset the instabilites by placing the engine and gas tank on the same side in order to compensate for the rotation of the shaft. Shaft drive has the advantage of being more reliable, less likely to have pebbles or dirt damage your drive train. But if you want a really good performance and handling (a car to race) get a proven belt drive!

RE: Team Magic G4S
ORIGINAL: TRINI-LUCIAN i know stock motors are generally lacking, but i would like to know if anyone here has specs on the engine in terms of hp, rpm and possible top speed with stock gearing..... The G4s rtr i think has set the standard for on road nitro rtr''s, if the onroad sport is to surge ahead of the dirt dudes and bashers... Think of it...an ifmar approved rtr with kit quality parts within a package! This factored in with economies of scale could present a higher quality experience to new folks while keeping it within reasonable cost! what yall think?
The stock motor may seem weak (non-turbo .12), but in my opinion it lacks nothing besides a good pipe. I ran my G4S over the weekend and kicked the pants off a few evolvas (yeah 1/8 scale big boys) and V-0ne RRRs. The car''s handling is insane, i''m the same speed as the evolvas (picco .21) on the straight aways, faster going into the corners, my disavantage is exiting corners with the evolvas (their extra wide rear-end clearly). Wow, i can''t believe a little 1/10 car could be this good!!

Anyone know where i can get one of the stock engines SH .12 for the G4S?? I bought a rolling chassis, to use for parts but the roller was so impressive i'm gonna get a motor and pipe and use it as a backup car. It came complete with a mazda 6 body, spektrum reciever and high torque servos.

RE: robinson racing steel spur gear on a t-maxx
I'm not sure why you'd need to modify the shaft, but if its bent replace it. I had the problem with the RR spur brushing against the battery box tho. the clearance in that area is quite close. I took off the battery box cover and used a saw and a dremel to cut a piece off, been working perfect since!!

RE: My First Body - Crowd Pleazer 2.0
I have a few question for you or whoever can answer: 1. Does the picture have to be on vinyl sticker paper or can it be like a pic from a magazine? 2. Why did you apply the decals to the body first? 3. If the paper is vinyl, why did you apply masking tape to it when painting? 4. Wouldn't it be good to cut and trim the body before you paint it??
