I was able to find, for a great price too, both the oneway and the locked rear diffs on ebay NIB. So I was pretty happy. The 50G weight up front are you using the sticky weights PhMaximus? Thnak you, Chaseman

RE: TC3, need help upgrading/ideas
Hi may I ask a question here too please? I also have a TC3 and I would like to start drifting with it... Anyway you talk about "locking the rear diff means that both rear wheels must spin equally." Sounds great! How do I do that? ALSO I here it is good to have a oneway front diff. Is that true? Even if you are locking the rear or is this the same thing... confused a bit...

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
ORIGINAL: cgflores plan to go racing but for now, just driving and racing with some freinds
I would work on the suspension 1st then worry about the engine. Racing is not all about speed. Tuning your car is way more important to winning than speed. to much speed and your crashing your ride and breaking parts. (Stay) with plastic parts they are cheaper and break when they are suppose to, insted of bending or breaking something else. Carbon fiber is for the pro's, cuz it's real expensive and breaks quick. Stay stock if this is your 1st car and start racing 1st before you upgrade too much. Things to get adjustable threaded shocks, foam tires, set-up station and a tweak gauge. Then once you get better, you can lighten the car with carbon fiber and buy a bigger engine. Keep your car clean and tightened (the screws and servo horns) Chaseman

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
ORIGINAL: cgflores tnx chaseman81.Got a good advice from you.If its almost gonna match my jato 3.3 speed wise, maybe will try electric for a change. How much will it cost me for those 9 turn motor or brushless? Are those easy to find at local hobby shops?
www.towerhobbies.com they have the largest selection in stock hobby stuff. Check out the Novak brushless motors and speed controllers $211.00. the tc4 RTR $239.00 comes with 17 turn stock. about 35-40-MPH altogether about $490.00 something and your kicking A*S.....

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
9 turn motor or brushless with the right pinion gear and spur gear 60mph. the main difference between electric and nitro is electric is now nitro has to build up and shift gears.

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
A tc4 electric holds the record of 147MPH! It was highly moded but speed is gained with the gear ratios between the spear gear and the pinion gear and the turns of the motor the lower the turns the faster the motor.

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
ORIGINAL: cgflores Hi guys.Hoping to get advice from you.Planning to buy the TC3 plus rtr or the traxxas nitro 4tec 3.3.which of these two is the best?speed and performance wise?planing to modify it in the future and go drifting too.
I would go with the tc4 electric, if you plan on drifting. A nitro car isn't designed to run the way a electric driting car works. The nitro engine is different from an electric motor.

RE: Offical nitro tc3 thread
ORIGINAL: mwstretch Hi all. I am new to r/c cars and bought a ntc3 plus. I love it.. I have run around 20 tanks of fuel through it and it runs great. Should I use the carb. insert? Will I gain anything by not using it, or will I hurt it. Boats don't use anything of the sort. Second, I am thinking of buying a different body. HPI has some pretty cool stuff. Has anyone used them or another co. with good results? I am not into racing yet, so body stlye doesn't matter. I have owned a few Porsche's, and HPI has some neat looking bodies. Thanks, Mark
Hpi body will fit you need 200MM and take out the insert retune and it will fly it's gonna be a lot faster

adjust the rear spring on the opposite side that it wants to go, give it more traction on that side in the rear.
