Nice! I've been building a balsa AS350 to go around my MaxiR but I'd love to try my hand at something bigger. Please put me down :)

AA?! Hmm . . . :-) Lancer - Are all you linkages on properly? Is the flybar tightly held by the setscrews in the head? Is the swash's anti rotation pin in its slot? Are all the head linkages on? Sorry if you've checked all this . . . Easy to miss stuff like that. chench

Seperates just means that all the electronic components are seperate from each other rather than being bundled together in the 4-in-1. Its usually a Rx, Gyro, and Escs. Probably a cheaper alternative would be to get a 4-in-1 that would work with the Eclipse such as an E-sky one, thats the route im looking at taking. cheers Chench

GTX The blood goes through the heart both before and after the lungs. The blood comes up the vena cava and into the right atrium. From there it goes through the right ventricle and along the pulmonary artery to the lungs and then through the pulmonary vein to the left atrium and then through the left ventricle and off down the aorta, from which the coronary artery (that supplies the heart) branches. RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
I have it. I found it really made a big difference in stability and it has lasted many crashes. I used to go through the plastic ones really fast but that was also due to having too many head stiffeners on which caused the top bits of the top frame connector to be ripped off. But for about twice the price of a stock piece its worth it. I dont really see the point of the set screw as you need to put a pin through it to keep the anti rotation assembly bit aligned. By the way, I bought a new frame the other day and the anti rotation column bit on it was further back by a few mm than on my broken frame, which allowed the arm on the swash to come out on full elevator. Presumably the swash has been updated to allow for this (ie with a longer arm) but its easy enough to lengthn it anyway. The new frame also had a much better servo mounting system. The servos actually snapped into the frame, doing away for the need for tape and keeping them more solidly in place. There was also a screw for holding the tail boom in place.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
Scratchbuild, Do you have a voltmeter to test the battery voltage with? It could be that youre just not charging them for long enough. My #4 doesnt lift off with less that ~9v with Superskids. Also be careful when mixing pairs of blades, you can end up with a really unbalanced pair which can make flying impossible. Once I had two blades so unbalanced that the rotor head popped off its bearing before the heli lifted off [X(].

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
ScratchBuild, You should probably test the voltage your battery is producing. If its not that, your motor is probably worn out or just bad. Theyre the most likely suspects.

Dip switches on a #4 should be: 1 on 2 off 3 on 4 on 5 off 6 off 7 off 8 off I think the other guy was talking about 22ds - different helis.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
Well after a long interval i have decided to make my DF4 fly again! My problem is with the main shaft/gear. I bent the shaft of one and so ordered a replacement. However not only did the replacement have a bent shaft but also the groove for the circlip was farther up the shaft and so it didnt fit the frame. It sounded really bad on the pinion too. That was when i gave up. But now im thinking maybe there was a mixup and the replacement gear they sent me was off a DF4 clone like Sabre and the rest? Anyone know if they use differently shaped teeth and a top bearing that is higher up the shaft? Iv ordered a new new gear anyway. cheers.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
Haha thats pretty gid GTX! Mazta; try balancing the blades. Unpop the short connectors from the rotor head then pop the rotor head off the top frame connector then balance the blades on a knife and see if ones significently heavier than the other and balance with tape. It seems there are 2 versions on the blades and they are different weights and sometimes get mixed up.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
Got my new main gear but its not the same as the old - the groove for the circlip is about 3 mm higher up. The other difference is the main gear is a bit thicker. Could this be compatable with a different version?

heliuy, often the wires for the battery come out of the side of the battery instead of the end which makes it hard to get out - just cut the heat shrink over the wires and that should let the battery come out if yours is like that. chench

GTX SlotCar Whats the thinking behind the weights instead of paddles? I thought that paddles were essential for cyclic control, and that weights wouldnt do the same job as there woulb be no real surface to create lift. Iv probably got the whole thing wrong in my head lol.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
Does anyone know how to get the main gear and shaft out of the frame? Mine is definately bent. In the manual it shows there being little pins holding the gear on the shaft but i cant find them. Where the shaft comes out of the top of the frame iv got the little piece of metal around the shaft off but i cant get any further than this. Help!
