RE: EXCEED RC 1/10th Dynamite PRO Brushless Version
Mine was actually the brushed version, that i converted to brushless on my own, and i like it. Runs awesome, only break things when i hit something. They arent as strong as the 1/8th scales, so if you got the money go 1/8th, if not its still a great truck.

RE: lipo chargers/lipos
Here are some things i was lookin at, going lipo has been put on hold for now. RE: Thought I had a Tx/Rx problem.. Nope!
Man that sucks, ive only had a servo go out (maybe) once, i was runnin my hurricane then my steering servo woundnt move. So i messed with and eventually shut it down and went home. Well with the motor off it works great, but turn the motor on and it doesnt work again. Ive yet to try it again, so its been a while, but other than that ive had zero problems with servos.

RE: Servo problem again.
Your servo saver might have been too tight. Your servo wants to stay where you tell it to stay, so say your driving straight and your wheels get hit and wanna turn left, the servo will stay straight. and if the servo saver is too tight and the wheels turn left, and the servo doesnt budge, something is gonna break, like the servo arm, or the gears inside.

Go to him and see if he can find the reason its not working. Maybe there is a bad connection somewhere. Like from the esc to the reciever.

RE: Vortex SS
I dont think thats too hot, ive heard that max it should be 270. I may be wrong but thats always what ive heard. Only time ive heard 200 was when you should get temps above 200 to let your parts heat up properly during break in.

Haha found it, has trims and then dual rate for the steering. Im deffinitely going to pick this up, along with a few recievers. Only thing different between this and the tower one is the tower one uses 4 batteries instead of 8, but with the cash ill save ill buy some rechargeables.

RE: exceed rc rally monster 1/10?
Huh i cant seem to find the brushless anymore, i know it was there before they changed the site a few days ago. The brushed goes 20mph outa the box with a 6 cell battery, and 26 with a 7 cell battery. Dont get me wrong its still a blast, but after a while you want more speed and power. Mine is the truck version, and i put an ezrun brushless system in it. I love it, my buddy has two of the brushless vortex's, that are exactly like the one your asking about. And those are sick too, fast little buggers, especially with a lipo haha. For spares, heres some i would grab. When you hit someting you usually break your hubs, or hub carries, or arms. Ill just post part numbers and a description 02013- rear hub/ rear upright 02014- front hub 02015- front hub carrier 06011- front lower arm 06012- rear lower arm 06022- dog bones from front and rear diffs to wheels 11164- spur gear and the pinions if you want em I would say just those are the main ones, usually its just the front hubs, but the dog bones wear out sometimes, and the others break if you hit something usually. And spur gears go out every once in a while.

Your postal code, is that like the us's zip code? Do i just call or go to the post office and ask how much it would cost to send something to canada, postal code K1R 5N3?

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
Ok, redcat used to have a small bearing in the first gear (big one), looked almost round, then then put that inside a bigger metal hex. The one i have is the bigger one, i possibly might have the old smaller one way bearing one, but i just noticed you live in canada, how much is shipping from the us to canada? There are a few dealers in canada, and it might be cheaper to do that possibly. Edit- I have an extra 2 speed tranny and an extra first gear spur. Both have the bigger one way, do you know how much shipping is to canada? If not ill give the post office a call tomorrow and see how much it is to ship, and if you wanna pay it ill send both gears out, so you'll have 3 spurs and one i send will have the hex piece/bearing you need.

RE: exceed rc rally monster 1/10?
Well ive got the redcat version of this, and the dimesions are wrong. Length with body- 18in Length without body- 17.5in Width from wheel to wheel- 10.25in With the body raised a bit to there is no wheel rubbing height is about- 7.25in I took measurements from an chevy and ford pickup and they are technically i think 12th scale. If you go by a shortbed 1/2 ton pickup, i dont know what a short course trucks measurements are so i dont know about scale to them. But the slash is technically 1/9th scale. I love the 4wd, ive driven 2wd multiple times and im not a fan of it. I can do so much more with my 4wd than the 2wd, maybe its cause im used to driving 4wd so i drive more aggresivly, but i love the 4wd. These are geared good, ive never had a problem, traxxas ive heard is way overgeared to shoot for the high mph numbers. Im not bashing traxxas but ive read this many times from different people. You could pick up a few extra pinions and mess with the gear ratio, but it should be good stock. Yes its 12mm, they should fit but dont quote me, it may rub on the suspension but im not sure. You posted in the right section, and i'd go with it. Ya the 1/16th slash is cool, but its deffinitely smaller than the exceed. Ive seen reviews and it has a hard time going through grass and stuff, thats why people reccomend the revo instead. But i love mine, ya i break parts, but nothing major, and its always my fault. And parts are dirt cheap so buying spares isnt a problem. You could even get the brushless one, which is tons faster, and buy a bunch of spares and still probably spend less than the traxxas. When my redcat brushed electric was still stock i would smack it into the curb full throttle and it would bounce off and keep takin it. Great cars, but when i upgraded to brushless its easier to break cause your going a lot faster.

RE: Vortex SS
Haha, people still use brushed motors, there are even pros who use brushed. But redcat has the brushed and brushless available. My buddy actually gave this to me for free so i cant complain. I just threw 4 t maxx shocks on it, i figured since i have the redcat big bores on my volcano epx, and im gonna throw the shocks from the 1/8th pro series on my nitro volcano i'd try out the t maxx ones since other people say they are good. They are pretty good, still like my redcat big bores better though.

RE: RS 10 Rockslide questions
You think maybe your servo horn got off center. Like maybe from the force it stripped or something so now when your servo is centered your wheels are turned one way. Im not sure if thats your problem but thats what it sounds like.
