RE: 120° eCCPM Flight with five channel Rx (Eclipse 7 Tx)
You could use a ycable on the pitch and throttle and only use four channels but that would be nasty!.

RE: CNC machined main gear by PMP
If you are talking about the hub that the gear goes on i think you can get a non one way version but not sure if they make anymore! otherwise the gear fits on to the one way housing that you get from them also. It is pricey but you wont complain about he quality

RE: Tip for brushless getting too hot
Use a smaller pinion on the motor.if you have plenty of power to spare then putting a smaller pinion on will give you better motor temp and duration. It is morre beneficial to the user to set the headspeed of the motor using the gearing rather than using the tx to drop the throttle range as you really want that motor to run at its peak to be efficient and powerfull at the same time. More spped is not alway more power if you cant handle the first corner!.

RE: How do you contact Helihobby????
Hmmm fair enough some are whinners but you got to admit helihobby bring out the whinners thats for sure[:D]. No excuse in my book.helihobby has a bad overall service,it just cant be ignored. helihobby has to be the most frequently complained about supplier on the net in my experience on every forum. My advice is dont buy their cnc parts and if you have to order from them wait for email confrimation of all parts in stock that you ordered before paying otherwise you will be trapped in to half a set up and time waiting for the rest when you could have bough it somewhere lese in half the time. I think its par for the course now for anyone to find this info on helihobby and to take the risk on their own back if they get stung. I,m sure there are plenty of happy customers but just to many unhappy ones for me to consider buying from them again. I been trying to buy parts from them for two months this time but i cant get answers to my questions so have bought nothing from them.

RE: Canopy Paint
tamiyas work great, use the ts colors for the outside, cheaper for you from hobby direct,in gt nth rd. Is easy to get a good finish with one color and use declas or stickers to get a cool finish, you can buy vinyl trim by the metre from sign writing shops in a hundred colours and then you can make whatever you like. Doing two colors is when it gets tricky. With the tamiys is a good idea to put the tin in warm water for a few minutes if done on a cold day but not your worry at the moment. Also with the sprays, build up the coats gradulaly on a primed or sanded surface, first layers being dots basiclly, leave two or three minutes between coats and after 4 or 5 thin coats you will start to see the gloss appear(if you get it glossy on the first coats it will be to haeavy wont grip and will run[:@]). Pick a day that is fine and low humidity for the best finish. tape a stick to the inside of the canopy for a holder when painting. the tamiya sprays are touch dry in minutes but best left overnight to harden completly. From what i have seen with these paints it is ok to build up coats in a short period of time with gaps inbetween(to let the coat before tack) to a full gloss where if you were to leave the coats dry inbetween for long periods of time you would have to sand each coat back. Basiclly do it in one hit with 2-3min gaps inbetween till its glossy all over.

RE: Question about setting up revo mix on a lazy susan
I have used a susan on my eco 8, i would make sure your set up secure and strong do not hold it in + pitch positon for long as there must be strain on the system, right down to the motor, i have had no problems doing it this way, very handy to get an idea before you get it in the air. For safey i would suggest to wear a helmet and keep eyes below line of blades even with eye protection worn.

RE: Walkera DragonFly #35 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter Reviews
And believe me i am not sucking up to opera house and i aint bin drinking but pretty much agree with everything you say, very wise words, i guess my Crusade if any as you put it is to alert potential new flyer to what you say, its the price that attracts a bigger audience and not a safe "toy" if used carelesly and not a miracle recipe for sucess if really interested in flying helis. There are better options for a little more but take away 80%of potential problems(inmyho) i have seen goood reports with the 22d(motor tail so lots of potential problems disapear so would recomend that over the 22a anyday(but then there is awhole list of fp choppers out there, where does it end[:D].

RE: Walkera DragonFly #35 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter Reviews
In all fairness i think the 22a is a low quality copy of a high quality machine, my reasoning being other than the misfitting parts i have never seen any evidence(ievideo) of one being flown like the hornet, i,ll eat my hat if i someone produces a draganfly 22a doing this http://www.helihobby.com/html/rc_helicopters_videos.html, download hornet vid with this blurb ""A beautifully flown Hornet II. This flyer has unbelievable skill Flown superbly." i think the flyer has alot to do with it but there is no way the 22a can do these moves and guarantee to get it back in one piece. show me the proof and i,ll eat my hat(i,ll have to buy one) anyway enjoy the vid, enspires me everyday [;)]

RE: Walkera DragonFly #35 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter Reviews
LOL, you mean you got instructions with yours! i got a piece of paper with a photo of a chopper, thankgoodenss the picture was in english[:D] A piece of paper in betwen the gears is a good way to set the mesh, you really want a tiny wiggle in between the gears but the sound and the feel will direct you to the right spot, smooth and quiet as possible. Try relocating your aerial, to get rid of glitch. Constructivelty i would try and avoid these choppers in the first place but yes like anything it can be made to work if put the time and brains into it.(sometimes this not good for a newbie though)

Not to loose though as you can get a tail strike, just right out to do it.Hold the heli on the side and the blades should stay put, give them a tap and they should fall.

RE: I BOUGHT a HELI TODAY !!
Looks like you have used a canopy grommet to hold the mast, just watch that the grommet is not touching the inner race aswell as the outer race of the bearing as it will slow things down abit(and that not good).

RE: Walkera DragonFly #35 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter Reviews
Ben i cant tell you what those buttons do as they are unique to your heli i think but i am sure i saw apost in here explaining http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Walera_Helicopter_No%2535_or_No%2522/m_2627203/tm.htm . re running the motor! it is getting less common these days as brushles and liths take over but any brushed motor needs to be run in if you want max power and efficiency out of it. You need to do this when it is unused the reeason being that when the brushes are new they are not bedded in tot he shape of the commutator, when you dont run in a motor you can cause arking on the com wich can lead to glitching in the heli. To run in , it is notrmally just run unloaded(out of the heli) with a cuople of aa batterys for an hour or so, when the brushes ar bedded into the com they will give more contact between them and will not arc, will be more efficient and will have more power. A quicker way to run in the motor is with the same aa batterys and run the motor completely submerged in a glass of disstilled water for about a minute each way, take out and shake/dry then run the same again in a cup of cleaning fluid or wd40(electrical). then relube the end bells with a tiny bit of oil. with a brushed motor you will notice the speed and efficiency drop quite rapidly as the comm picks up carbon material from the brushes making the contact less. When i used brushed motors(in heli especially) i would run the motor in wd40 every ten or so flights and it would be like as new again. How do you know your battery is fully charged?does the charger say so or do you test the voltage with a meter? you need to know this before you start to break the chopper down and find your problem. When working with heli and trying to solve problem you must start with the things you know must work and do work so they can be illiminated.

RE: I BOUGHT a HELI TODAY !!
The arms ! when they come to you are all a bit different some line up square and some dont(depends on the mesh inside the arm), i pressume you only have the one! if you want you can retrim the servo so the arm straight and lengthen the servo rod. it wont make much differnece how it is so proably best to leave it like that if it cam that way and it flew, but when moving up and go to ccpm(three servo cyclic /pitch mixing) it gets imperetive to have al the servos in the same position. When you buy a servo you get a few arms so you have a few to play around with. Use as many heli in the sim as you can to get an overall experience, good luck aslo may want to think about usinbg training gears at first if new to heli.

RE: Walkera DragonFly #35 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter Reviews
ORIGINAL: casey67 Alright well I ordered this Walkera RC Helicopter off hobbyjapan2000.com and got totally scammed this helicopter is total junk. I was even in total contact with the company before during and after I ordered this product the whole time being told about how there defective rate was super low because of how they fly there helicopters three times before being shipped. Well this was also total BS (Bull S@#$!!). First off let me just say that I would never recommend doing business with hobbyjapan2000 they lied to me the whole time about the helicopter as well as charge me for the return postage on the helicopter after a MILLION questions about how the damage to the helicopter was probably my fault. Anyway I am no idiot to helicopters I fly them for the US Army currently so I might be new at the RC world but defiantly not the idea of helicopters and when I got the Walkera it looked great and I was excited about flying it. So being my first time dealing with RC helicopters I went to the local hobby shop because I new the owner and we put it into a weighted stand and turned it on. As soon as we turned on the radio the servos were acting crazy like moving on there own and adjusting pitch on the blades almost like we were getting radio interference from somewhere so we moved to a different location a couple blocks out of town still the same thing was going on. After about 10 min of just letting them freak out they started to calm down so we felt comfortable about seeing if we could get the Walkera to flight speed. Keep in mind this is still in the weighted mount and it was a good thing to because we didn’t so much as have the helicopter to 1/3 of its flight speed when it started vibrating so bad we thought it was going to flip the mount on its side. So we put it back to idle and called it a day I have packed it up and am now trying to get my money back but having to fight about that also. If we would have let that helicopter get to full flight speed or even half for that matter it would have shaken its self apart it was not only a safety risk but not what I agreed to when I ordered it, so this “ready to fly helicopter was far from it. My recommendation is to avoid the Walkera as well as Hobbyjapan2000 all together save yourself some time, money and the headache of dealing with a bad company. Hope this helps.
RE: Walkera DragonFly #35 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter Reviews
Did you run the motor in? Do you know if your battery is fully charged? Ps be careful thinking upgrading things is going to make them stronger, almost any heli that makes contact between the tail and the ground is going to shear something, plain physics of this world i am afraid, if you start putting metal gears on they will remain intact but the next thing down the line will be damaged and usually costs more than a pinion or gear. The best way to get around the fragility of these machines is to do everything to avoid crashing, ie using sim, using training gears, not flying out of your ability. think twice act once,if it shakes on the ground dont think it will disapear in the air,it,ll proably get worse(this the reason my 22a never left the ground and i got to many other heli that just fly so dont have time to rework all the faulty bits in to something that is acceptable.
