RE: xl-5 question...
it can handle up to an 8 cell nimh battery, so yes it should be fine. my advice, get a brushless system in there. i didn't like my xl-5 after a few months i got fed up with ealing with the titan 12t motors.

RE: Rustler XL-5 hop-ups
alright, i was just going to ask if they had a water proof set-up that way i can keep my rustler water proof. thanks. i talked to one of the guys at the local hobby shop and he said that adding strength to the front suspension is a must. is that true? what parts would need to be stronger? and is it worth spending the extra money?

i have a 6 cell 3000mah nimh 7.2 volt battery right now and plan on getting a venom 7 cell 3000 mah nimh 8.4 volt. is it easy to put a brushless motor in without having to do much work(i fly heli's and some need other electrical parts to run a brushless)? what gears should i look at getting, i would like a gear with some good acceleration and another for faster top-end.

RE: looking at getting a traxxas
i narrowed my choice down to these two trucks. they seem to be the same except for the body. i like the smaller one better. what one would be the better choice in your opinion? what else will i need to make it run? does it come with a battery and charger? if not what would be a low cost battery and charger?

RE: looking at getting a traxxas
not looking to spend too much on a truck, something under $200 would be great. i'd like to go witha nitro but a battery powered truck is fine with me. a brushless electric would be preferred if i go with an electric. i was told that traxxas had a lot of reliable strong vehicles but are a little over my spending limit. are there any cheaper trucks out there i should look into?

RE: looking at getting a traxxas
not looking to race that much, just looking for something to have some fun with, a few of my friends have some nitro trucks and other rc cars. the local hobby shop does have a race once a month but only a few people show up to them. they carry all the traxxas models and keep a lot of parts and upgrades for them in stock.

RE: novus fp
thanks for the input, how does it fly outside? i own a lama v3 and a falcon 40 and both get picked up and tossed around by small amounts of wind. and as for the sensitivity how sensitive is it, my falcon 40 is much more sensitive than the lama and im still trying to get used to it. i want to make a switch to a heli that the local rc shop has part in stock for. heli-max and e-flite are the only options i have and e-flite does not have a FP heli that i know of and i am too new to the hobby in my opinion to buy a 6 channel CP heli.

what are your thoughts on the new novus fp? im looking for a fixed pitch heli that the local rc shop carries parts for and i only have to choose from heli-max and e-flite.
