RE: Scale retract landing gears and spinners
[quote]ORIGINAL: sugarfox Chutt, outstanding workmanship, shame you're in Brazil as shipping would be an issue. I'm sure there may be some way around that though. I have some electric jackscrew retracts in my modified P-51 with a Sachs 5.8 but yours sure look beautiful. I,m sure with some advertising you will be successful! Regards, sugarfox! Scale retract landing gears and spinners
Hi! One friend here in Brazil, Douglas, have started to build custom spinners and retract landing gears. The landing gears are awrsome, scale, huge and high detailed, for jets, warbirds, etc. Made with high grade aluminum. Here are some pictures of a scale landing gear set for a 747 with almost 10ft wingspan and 16Kg (35lb): [image]http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/3145/dscf4466q.jpg[/image] [image]http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/7483/dscf4477e.jpg[/image] [image]http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/7824/dscf4481l.jpg[/image] [image]http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/7065/dscf4483p.jpg[/image] [image]http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/3979/dscf4486q.jpg[/image] In this pictures are the latest set of landing gears he made, for a Heinkel Salamander with 79in wingspan, kero turbine: [image]http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/8906/dscf4647z.jpg[/image] [image]http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/5996/dscf4649a.jpg[/image] [image]http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/3447/dscf4652z.jpg[/image] [image]http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/2787/dscf4653f.jpg[/image] [image]http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/3137/dscf4655l.jpg/[/image] [image]http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/6016/dscf4658k.jpg[/image] [image]http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5295/dscf4661u.jpg[/image] [image]http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/6514/dscf4667.jpg[/image] [image]http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/7195/dscf4670f.jpg[/image] [image]http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/8158/dscf4672y.jpg[/image] The spinners are very beautiful and scale. Christen Eagle crashed while performing for the Aeroclube do Parana airshow in Curitiba Brazil
Pilot crashed while performing for the Aeroclube do Parana airshow in Curitiba, Brazil. Apparently he made a mistake in the last maneuver and did not have enough altitude to recover. Sadly, the pilot´s wife and kid were reported to be watching his presentation when the accident happened. Here´s the video that I made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7pPBS0T0xM Cheers, Andre.

RE: Rotating retracts pictures
[quote]ORIGINAL: geardaddy Recommend you find drawings and images from the original as in Curtis aircraft as they made it work best. Try and think like a full scale designer and you will build the better mousetrap. [/quote] Finally someone understood what our modeller friend wants... It is difficult? [:D][:D] He do not want to sell retracts, he only want to make your own retract... What is the problem with this?? Who do not want to build your own homebuild airplane, or even a car (kit cars)? I can not see a problem with his act... Guys, our hobby is friendship!![:)][8D][:)] Cheers!! Andre.

Hi Charley! Thank you! I bought this engine from HobbyCity, on the begin of September, and payed U$150,00. I did not run the engine yet, but it is very well made... HobbyCity do not sell the SV 26cc more, they only sell the SV 50cc and 100cc. SV 26cc have been sold now by RCS, or RCShowcase ([link]http://www.rcshowcase.com[/link]). Here is some pictures of my SV 26cc... Cheers, Andre.
