6EX doesn't bind to newer RS617
My 6EX has been on my shelve for 2 years now I see more people have had this problem. In 2008 no one had seen this problem and people kept telling me that it was me after buying 3 new RS617's I had to buy a 7C because the older RS607 were no longer available. Can my 6EX be serviced and fixed now that more people have had this problem? Here is the original post. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7414116/tm.htm Thanks Charles
ORIGINAL: choppersrule Charles, Awesome video, I watched the whole presentation. Great job on it.. That's another indication of your patience, had to take a lot of time to edit that and put it all together. I like the part too, where you show the gear retracting.. Hopefully this week you'll sneek in a maiden flight, but you don't want to push it either. You mentioned that it weighed in at 9.3 pounds, the Trex 600 with 5,000 mAh pack weighs in at 7.3 pounds. Later
Thanks bro for all the nice comments I know some people who would disagree with you hehe did some testing and had some vibrations that stopped me. then I took a small break from heli building and put my Trex 600 ESP together hehe and spent some time with my wife who I have been ignoring since Sept. I hope to get a Maiden in soon thanks again Charles

I am still working on windows, cockpit this time. I used glazing again, tried clear styrene but I kept melting threw it. This glazing is a few bucks for a sheet of it. I made a heat sink for forming the windows with a torch. I think they came out nice. Pics

Thanks guys, Not been doing too much trying to figure out what to do next. I have been playing with windows. Here is a picture with Clear plastic glazing painted with Valspar stained glass blue. I cut it with the band saw there is a backing on the plastic so you don't mess it up. Windows are taped in with the plastic backing still on it will be more clear after the backing in peeled off.

Decals and Clear coat. Made my decals on Corel Draw printed them on my Canon Photo inkjet, sprayed the sheets with a few light coats of clear coat let them dry, cut them and glue them on with testors window maker, drys clear. Clear coat after it's dry, seems to be working so far. My high tec drying room hehe still cold out. pics The numbers I made the outside line wider and colored it blue it looks close.

RE: Fun-Key Bell 222 E-Smart 600
Most people are using DX 7 they are cheap compared to other high end brands. I use a 7C Futaba 2.4ghz and a 6EX 2.4ghz I have never had a problem. With all the lights and retracts you are going to need a 10 channel I think you can get by with a 8 or 9 channel. Remember get the best you can afford first!!! that's why I need a bigger one now, radio that is hehe. If I was going to buy a radio today that I could afford it would be the Futaba 8FGH 8-Channel 2.4GHz FASST you can pick them up for 479.00 if you have money to burn I would get a FUTABA 12FGH FASST 2.4GHZ Tx/ R6014FS 900.00. One thing, radio programing is one of the hardest parts of flying a heli. with all the buttons and switches curves all the manual terms it can make a normal persons head cave in hehe. Your fist heli probably should be a RFT (ready to fly) with the radio already setup unless your really tech smart then you will have little problem. Charles hope this helps some
