RE: Maybe the Tower Hype is True?
I have had many issues with tower. Im not going to explain it all here but more than a few times they have done me wrong. I called their hand on one item and they warrantied it. It was just a small item< $20 super tigre 400 motor but Iplayed their game for 2 weeks and they finally shipped a new one. I only do business with horizon now, much better service and faster shipping.

RE: cheap chinese batteries
On the airplane side I've bought eflite and turnigy. I was much easier on the eflite batteries and the turnigy outperformed them and lasted longer. 2100 eflite-$60, 2200 turnigy$10. eflite swelled up like a balloon and had me scared of them

RE: Very bad answer from HH service department
If you think thats bad try towers servie dept. i had a saito and an os that i had problems with and sent both in. Horizon said the motor was fine to check the fuel and fuel lines. Tower wanted to rebuild a practically brand new motor and not warranty it. Come to find out the fuel i was using was bad. Both motors were fine. I have many more storys than that from tower

RE: Introducing The New 50cc Edge 540 ARF-QB!
Ok I understand. Im running a 2500 life in my aw 260 and its been great. Everyone that Im flying with is going to life and I will be putting a life in my edge. I just dont fly when theyre below 6.4. Ive been told you can fly down to 6.0 but im not pushing it. Ican fly all i want in a day and they never drop beloew 6.5, however im noy one to fly all day long. Im also running a 3s lifee in my 9303 and its doing great

RE: Introducing The New 50cc Edge 540 ARF-QB!
If you want to save some weight throw away the igniton battery setup and use an 1100 zippy 2s life. I havent weighed it but it doesnt weigh over 2 ounces im sure. I flew mine 4 good flights today and the voltage read 6.68 at the start and 6.65 at the end of the day. By the way I started hovering on my second flight and the da60 will hover at 1/4 throttle. Ive never had a plane with this power to weight ratio and its not even broke in yet (about 1/2 gallon through it). A guy at our feild was very impressed with the whole setup and could believe how good it transitioned over his dle

That ultimate is sweet. I'd like to have the aeroworks Pitts and put my da60 in it but there comes a point in time where you have to quit buying until you crash something

I put a jtec on mine and its fine. I wanted to do a canister but DA told me unless I needed it they wouldnt. They claim that it could possibly make rpms change when trying to hover ( or something like that)

RE: Introducing The New 50cc Edge 540 ARF-QB!
Da 60 with jtec Pitts. 7955's on all controls. 821 on throttle and 5645 for choke. Froemco 2600 for receiver and turnigy 1100 life for ignition. Xoar 24x8. No pilot or extras other than choke servo. The 60 is hard to mount a manual choke which I prefer manual. Mpi regulator for receiver and rcexl optometrist kill no regulator on ignition - I called desert aircraft and they said a 2s life is ok on ignition. I did crank the engine and all I have to say is it runs like every da I have seen

RE: Anyone compare DA-50 / DLE-55 / DA-60?
I have a DA50 and just ordered a DA60. I have seen dle 55's that probably have more power than my 50. No way will it outpower the 60 that I have coming though. I dont mind spending a little more for the warranty and service DA has. Never seen a DA ignition go bad (yes im sure they have). I have seen numerous dles with bad ignitions and its not worth the hassle of replacing them. Also I was flying last weekend - I choked my 50 flipped it, took the choke off and flipped it and it started. I saw a fella flip his dle at least a dozen times before it hit and another six before it started. I would have considered an OS55gt but hobby services warranty department is TERRIBLE(and I have had more than one issue with them). Just my 2cents
