RE: NEW!! The Official Pulse XT 25e ARF by E-flite thread
I have two XT25e's. One that I purchased and one they sent me for free because of problems with the first one. I can not get the covering on either one of them to stick to the wood. I can heat both of them and take the wrinkles out but they sag right back out when it cools. I agree bad workmanship and or product. Horizon has a problem they need to fix!!!!!!!!!!! Chuck

RE: Pulse XT 25e by E-Flite
Well here she is, on Floats. Time to see how the Pulse XT 25e does on the water. Set Up: Pulse XT 25e, E-Flite Power 25 motor, Castle 60 amp esc, E-Flite 3200 3s 20c battery, AR6200 Receiver, HT225mg Servos, E-Fite 25 size Floats, 12/10 apc prop. Bad news, wind blowing 10 to12mph cross wind take off or look straight into the sun on take off. A little concerned about the 25 getting it off the water. Well wrong again! Add throttle, tracks straight across the water, Full throttle she comes off the water no prob. Climb to 100ft while making turn back. Straight and level, no trim adjustments again, same trim as no float flying, nice. Try big loop, no probs at all. Try tight loop no probs. Roll left roll right no probs. Seems to roll better with floats on then without them. Point nose up, snap roll, nice. Snaps nicely then just hangs there in the air inverted for a couple secs then comes out no probs. Lets push this, inverted loop, makes it over the top no probs and pulls back level at bottom and rolls out. Well I don't want to do this, but time to land. Remenber, cross wind or look into the sun. She comes down, levels out fighting cross wind. 1 small bounce, 2 small bounces final bounce just about stopped, cross wind catches it on final bounce and flips it over. Luckly the wind is blowing in to us. No need to get boat to retrive. 2 minutes and she at shore line. Take her home and dry her out, esc has been water proof. Well concerns about 25 semi unfounded. Had enough power to do all stunts, however need at least 3/4 throttle if not more to do. Was using 12/10 prop, only becase didn't have a good 13/6.5 prop. Have to remenber about fighting the wind to. Will probably put a 32 in her. Nice flying plane, no complaints, she's a keeper. Chuck

The E-Flite Pawnee 15e, is a beautiful flying sport plane with no bad habits. I have one that I fly normal and have put floats on it and fly off of water. Chuck

RE: Pulse XT 25e by E-Flite
Prop Size: I use: Power 25. 3s-12/8 Power 32. 3s- 13/6.5 Power 32. 4s- 12/6 Never run 4s on Power 25 Build Question ? Instructions I have say to glue the dowels into the wing. The dowels in my wing halfs were pre-glued. No getting them out of the wing to glue them in. Also, has any one else had any promblem with the control surfaces being stiff and having limited movement. Had the same problem with my Mini Pulse. How ever my E-Flite Extra 260 the control surfaces are free and have at least 50 t 60 degrees movement. TP 4200 3s Battery. Are any of you using this battery and put velcro on floor of battery box, velcro on bottom of battery and use the strap around the battery to hold it in. If you have ever had a battery fall out or slide for or aft during flite you know why I do this. Anyhow, with both pieces of velcro and strap, can you get your battery box cover or lid on? Thanks Chuck

RE: Pulse XT 25e by E-Flite
Well the wind finnally let up enough to maiden the E-Flite Pulse XT 25e today. Start taxi down runway, add throttle, whoa, wait a minute, ground loop. Shes a little hard to hold straight on take off. 5/8 throttle up she goes. Climb to 100 feet turn back towards me, no probs. Well lets see, what's needed to trim her out. Wait, nothing, straight and level just the way she is. Slow roll nice a little slow switch to higher rate, a little better, still needs to roll faster. Nice loops, no probs. Loops nice even on slow rate. Invert, add just a bit down elevator fls level. A little more down aand she does a nice inverted loop and rolls back level. Try knife edge, not quite, needs more rudder and she will. Try hover, she sits there for a sec add throttle and she climbs out, even with the 25 motor. Time to land after a couple fly bys. Chop throttle, she doesn't like to slow down. Make final turn glide in. She sets down 1 small bounce and does a ground loop. Got to try to figure out what's going on with this taxing prob. No probs at all flying her, great sport plane. Will not 3d like my N300EX Extra but it's not a 3d plane. 3 or 4 more flights and I'll put the floats on her and try that. All in all a great flying airplane, just need to get more throw on control surfaces so how. Chuck

Pulse XT 25e by E-Flite
E-Flite Pulse XT 25e, Power 25 Motor, Phoenix 60 amp esc, AR6200, HT225MG servos, 52 in wing spand. Well, she' built, roughtly 5 hrs not bad. Now for the bad stuff! Following the instruction on glueing wing halfs together leaves a gap between the wings of between 1/32 to 1/16 of a inch. Not good, would have to redrill and glue wing dowel pins and wing mounting bolt holes to correct. All hinged surfaces are factory done, this is nice except for the fact that they are to close (air gap) and whatever they used for hinges they are to tight. All control surfaces are hard to move and have limited travel. I've been moving them back and forth and trying to free them up, maybe with time they will free up. Battery compartment is tight, height wise. My 3200 3c will fit but my 4200 3c of 4200 4c will not fit height wise. Will try to grind some off the inside of the hatch cover to get my 4200 3c in it. It took some sanding on the airframe to get the bolt on tail to align with the wing. Other than those mentioned things every thing else went smooth with no probs, which is goog LOL. Now if the wind will ever stop blowing here in Jacksonville I will Maiden this thing. Pictures included showing probs I had. Chuck\ PS. 3 lbs 11oz Flying weight.

Extreme Flight N300EX.My latest joy
Got here built, no problems went as per instructions. 58inch span. came in at 5lbs 2ounces ready to fly. Took her out for maiden. One slight touch on left rudder is all it took to trim out. What a joy. Set it up with E-flight 46 and 4c 4200 TP. Flew well. The big boys at flight club say it-s slightly under powered. Will order Extreme's Torque motor and try that. Can't say much more NICE PLANE. Chuck Attached Thumbnails
