RE: Giant Scale 3D Flight Demo
Dick with what you are saying about the first video posted why would anyone post a video of having a good time? If their routine is not disciplined they should not post it. Well with what you are saying I guess Kyle should not have posted his video of his Funtana 90 years ago because his video had no routine, he was just having fun. Who would think that he would become one of the greatest pilots in our hobby.

Dick I look forward to more of your critique on videos. If you do not like them I know I will really enjoy it. It was a great video.

RE: Learning To Hover
rednekk if you ever get a chance to go to a airshow where the blue angels or thunderbirds are performing you should check it out. Both groups will harrier thier jetts on the deck. A full scale plane to watch for is the turbine toucan. It is a turbo prop biplane that is the first full scale plane to have a 2:1 power to wieght ratio. Rich

Tom do you have any pictures of the new slick 540. I have a couple of friend interested in it after seeing my 88" edge fly. Rick

Will185 I wanted to make it to willard but work said no. We should catch up sometime and compare notes on our planes as you are only about 40 minutes away. If you are up for a small road trip you are always welcome at my clubs field. Rich

RE: PULLED THE TRIGGER ON THE 88
Micheal i just measured mine and without some major mods there is no way it will fit. I really do not think you will need the tuned pipe on this plane even though extra power is always nice. I have a DL50 with a ks86 canister and it is perfect. Plenty of power for anything. Rich

RE: PULLED THE TRIGGER ON THE 88
I also flew mine today. I only need to add a few mixes in my radio and it will be perfect! I had everyone at the field saying how nice and light it flys.

I would go with the YS110 myself. I have a saito 100 in m mine and it moves pretty good. The ys 11o will make this thing really move.

RE: quick quote
As for the TT 36 pro I would pass this one up. If you can get a webra it will blow the thunder tigers doors off and is well worth the money. I have a webra 36 with jett muffler that will turn a 8x8 apc at over 18000 easilly. My thunder tiger is just sitting on the bench. Rich

RE: new 88" Edge 540 maiden flight report
Barry I was unaware of the BME not matching up to any header pipes as i have no experience with them. IF you have everything for this plane already you could easily have it ready for sunday. The only thing That I thought was time consuming was cutting down the pitts muffler to get it to fit in the cowl ring. Either way you are going to love this plane! [:D] Rich

RE: new 88" Edge 540 maiden flight report
Barry are you going to be using a canister on this one? I am in the process of converting mine to one. It is a cleaner and easier install. I went with 7955's all the way around with a A123 pack. I have never flown the V2 edge but I sure love this one. Rich

RE: EF 88" Extra 300 or WH 88" edge 540
I just wanted to give you guys a quick update. I built the 88" edge and it was as easy as they get. I put 2 flights on it the other day. I love the wing loading and how stable it is. If anyone is looking at buying one I would say just do it. You will not be sorry. Rich

RE: I need some directions.
Vicman I have one that I found new in the box that I am finishing up for this spring. I changed out the stock landing gear for a set off of a viper. Got a set off good wheels from Dub and ordered a pipe for my webra 36. I am hoping this thing hauls. By the way you can download the book [link=http://www.kangkeusa.com/instructions/F3D-30%202nd.pdf]here.[/link] Rich

RE: WOW!! New DL 111cc and 55cc !
OK guys I am missing something. I have a DL50. If you look at the specs of the 50 and 55 the only thing that has changed is they raised the compression. I have read people saying they changed the bore or stroke but the specs just dont show it. I am sure it will be another winner but i am just trying to figure out where they are getting the extre displacement. Rich

RE: EF 88" Extra 300 or WH 88" edge 540
BTerry that is the problem I really like the looks of both of them. I am looking to wear out my engine on whichever plane I do decide on. I did have a short conversation with Chris this week about the extra and he said that he may have some for sale at the toledo show so shipping would not be a factor in price. As far as I know Wild hare will not be in toledo so I would still have to factor in shipping. By the time you figure it out the extreme flight extra would only be a extra $32. So I guess I am leaning more towards the EF Extra at this point.

RE: EF 88" Extra 300 or WH 88" edge 540
BTerry I have a DL50 already for whatever plane I end up picking. As for servos I just ordered some hitech 7955's. I am looking into switching to A123 batteries. I do value power to weight ratios. Everyplane I have ever flown the lighter it is the better it flies. I enjoy alot of high alpha flying (harriers, torque rolling, and knife edge). Though I would like something that I could perfect my rolling harriers with. I also do love the tumbling of a edge 540. Like I said I have owned a wild hare plane before and have had nothing but top notch customer service from Tom. I have also own a outlaw and can say the same about Chris and Extreme Flight. So customer service is not a issue. Everyone has brought some great points up for discusion. The slick 540 is a nice plane but I do not think it would fit in my Chevy Blazer. I may have to wait until toledo to make a decision, or I could do something better than pulling a straw to pick which plane. Just show the wife pictures of each plane and ask her which one she likes. [:D] Thanks again to everyone. Rich

RE: EF 88" Extra 300 or WH 88" edge 540
Propchief with what you just stated now you know why I am having a hard time making a decision. I have owned a Wild Hare plane before and had no complaints with it. I have heard nothing but good things about extreme flight also. I do not want this thread to start a brand war. I would just like to hear from the people that own these planes to hear the pros and cons of flight carachteristics. I am working on reading the 100 and some pages on the EF extra but I was hoping to get some input from those guys without having to spend a week going through the thread so I can make a decision. Thanks for everyones input so far. Rich

EF 88" Extra 300 or WH 88" edge 540
I need the help of you guys. I am going to buy a new 50cc airframe and I have it narrowed down to these two. I need some help to decide on which one I am going to get. I do not fly IMAC so I am only looking for a airframe that excells at 3D. Both of these companies have a great product. And that is why this decision is so hard. So which one would you pick and why?

RE: Did anyone kit a Texas Hurricane? Need plane ID help
I have both versions of Kangkes Texas Hurricane. This one is the first version because it has the counter balanced elevators. The second version does not have this. Either way they are great flying airplanes. I am working on puting a DL50 on mine and hope to have it in the air this weekend. Rich

RE: Extreme Flight Outlaw
I bet they figured the 225 has a stonger gearset so when the landing skid on the motor mount fails and your carb gets a little treaked you will not stip the servo gears. Also if you do a search I know there was a big thread on these planes. Rich
