22e boom strike solution
ok guys heres is a boom strike solution and i think it makes this little heli look like it is on steroids as it now a little bit bigger than my 36. this all came about when one perfect flying day i had two boom strikes in mid flight. first one was with stock blades ,damage only blades as the bush was a good catch second one same day was with carbom fibre blades , damage was blades , main sharft, tail boom and tail fins but the tail boom was that bent that the tail went 90degree to the heli so i sat down and come up with this . it flys great i think better than before . 46grams where add to the heli and really the best thing is that now th heli has a handle lol the blue bar what is left of the stock tail boom and i must say thanks to sonebee as this was half his idea indirectly

RE: WALKERA 60
hi all it seems to have slowed down around here ANY ONE OUT THERE? ok figured all the problems out problem one was that dam mystery ESC cause i got a other RCTIMER ESC off ebay hooked it up all works fine with the walkera tx and rx flys sweet as, just have a little vibe around 40% thottle . cant figure out where its coming from i have checked every thing , i do know its blades , cause with out them it spinns up to full thottle and the heli dont even move . i have tried to balance them they seem balance our is this just stock plastic blades.? and can we get away with 300mm blades??? the pic below is for any one that whats to know a cheap 40A ESC from EBAY and really cheap that works with walkera rx as i have found some that dont work like MYSTERY JD the BEC did work but i was thinking if i was having trouble on the ground with the mystery ESC i sould not use it on the heli just to be safe ..lol ok guys heres a laugh for you (DAVES BUM ASSH MOMENT)BUT goes for all newbies upgraded the head the other night got up to where i had no blades or flybar paddles on it but had the flybar in the head and i in my wisdom i spun up the head but i had forgot to do up the flybar do you need me to go on .ok i will yes the flybar came flying out and land 10mm in my GODDAM LEFT ARM it all good tho i did not brake the heli and the flybar is still straigt lol

RE: WALKERA 60
jd also the other reason i had the question about the wiring is cause one day i am going to hook two elec ducted fan jets ,one each side of the heli yes i know i am mad lol and some would say crazy , nut even lol but this is my goal. it may take a couple of years to happen but it will happen . have even thought about putting one on the tail of the 22e , i know this has been done before as i know these heli's can left a bit of weight . i think acebusa or soneebee put seperates on there 22e heli witch must of added a heap of extra weight to it and no i will not use extra battery idea ,well not to fly anyway good to know when testing stuff tho but then again if i could find a battery light enought it would work cheers again

RE: WALKERA 60
ok boys its not the ESC ITS THE WALKERA TX OR RX damit as i dug out a old 6 channel tx but its not pcm only standed fm and rigged up esc to that and guess what it worked fine , now i just need to figure out how to program it lol , as none of the beeps match up to any of info i have DOOH the walkera tx or rx must lose signal for a sec so in turn shuts down the ESC but this is still strange as the walkera tx and rx worked fine on the brushed setup dam think its time to get dx7 cause when i went looking for the old 6ch fm tx i found 17 other old tx's think its time to emty my RC hobby room and just make it my heli room as this hobby is addictive question as i have a old fm 6 channel can i use this and just use a Y connecter on the pitch servo and the esc unit???? jd i know this not the norm just thinking outside the box

RE: WALKERA 60
jd you where right it was all about the trim trim and stick up , to enter program mode ok so i think i changed the freq or what ever i did the motor ran, oh well i no the motor works lol but now i find that i can only use the throttle stick if i move other stick it shuts down sorry i stand corrected i just plugged it back in and ran motor at 1/4 stick and had the tail servo move 3 or 4 times and then it shut down think its time to pull shrink rap off and check connections cause it does not seem to be the same thing over and over also in prgram mode i get beep beep, beep beep, beep beep, beep, beep beep, beep, beep repeats twice and then shuts down and also with stick down i now get a long beep when i started i was only getting a short beep cheers jd i am getting closer but if you have any ideas i am all ears lol cheers again

RE: WALKERA 60
ok JD yes i bow to the master lol 2 min after it not working a little voice pop into my head and said "should of stuck with common stuff" lol but i still didnt learn my lesson , i just reallised cause i got another cheap one off ebay last night ...dam what was i thinking lol ( a 40A ESC it was only $12.50 and free post so really who cares ) so after you have a good laugh that i didnt learn the first time lol but going back to the mystery of the mystery ESC yes i think you are right about the trim but i really think its the walkera 701 tx but youve given me some new ideas on things to try cheers so this will be my next problem [image] [/image] ESC 40A Weight: 28g Dimensions: 45.0*24.0*9.0mm Current(A): 30-40 BEC: 3A PWM: 16K Li-Po: 2-3 Ni-Mh/Ni-cd: 4-10Ni-Mh Features: BEC: 3A Constant current 30A Max 40A <10s Li-Poly 2-3 cells; Ni-MH 4-10 cells Auto Detect Break On/Off; Auto Low battery Slow down at 3.0V/cell Lipo, cut-off at 2.9V/cell Lipo *Note: Timing and P WM can be programmable if required. Currently we just want to keep this product simple and easy to use for Beginers. According to our experience Too complex of the small ESCs only make more trouble and need more effort of supporting. AND the reason i got this one cause it does stated li-po 2-3 where the mystery ESC only stated Li-ion 2~3cells Li-ion 2~3cells ok i am going get the helis out and give it one more try let ya know how i get on oh one more thing the mystery has a cut off on low power and the lowest was 8.4 volt and i was thinking this mite have something to do with it auto shut off??? cheers all

RE: WALKERA 60
Ok it looks like no one want to touch base on the above That’s cool I do understand it is a bit much lol So I am left with two more choices One, find out witch two pins are + and - on the Rx for extra battery (Would it be safe to say the red and black wires from the battery go in the same two as the red and black from the servo) in the battery plug hole on the Rx Two, wait for postman again for my stock walkera brushless motor witch should be here early this week and try that And someone please tell me what poles means when it comes to brushless motors Cheers all "Lost aussie flyer"
ORIGINAL: speeddemon272 you know i absolutely love the walkera styling but ive never flown. i wanna get into flying heli's cuase im anxious to get off the ground. what do you guys suggest?
rob be nice give the newbie a brake lol SPEEDDEMON below is a pic of my fleet and i started with blade cx2 (going right to left in pic ) , it was small enought to fly around inside and was easy to learn on (witch is the small heli in pic)and was cheap around $180AUD and then stepped up to a fixed pitch heli so i could fly outside this was a VENOM NIGHT RANGER 2 (whitch is the black heli in pic) was also cheap around $180AUD but the VNR2 is as tuff as nails ,this thing has got a bitten from me and i am still on the first set of blades , got to love that next the 22e great flyer when set up is right and every thing is working right but from this point in the heli hobby you better hope you can and like to read cause from here its a major learning curve the next two helis in pic are a 36 and 68 36 is ready to fly but have not yet and was around $220AUD 68 i am still building up , so far only $100 SO for about $1000 i have 5 heli,s to smash into the ground or you can spend $1000 on a trex or something like that and have one heli to smash lol hope that helps

ok its later in the day and i have plugged it into my 36 and yes it is not right " is it me or is it allways such a steep learning curve" dont understand why the hobby industery make it so hard should be more like Bill gates and plug and play not but and study ok heres the problem and heres what i am using walkera 701 rx/tx , 11.1 1200m 10c, mystery 30A ESC , MYSTERY 4200RPM And now heres what happened first plugged it into throttle in RX ,plugged motor in , turned on tx made sure throttle was down there were some beep but dont ask how many so i let the beeps stop , i tried the tx and seemed to have motor control up to 50% stick and then it jump up what felt like 100% throttle so i shut motor down unplugged the battery 1 min later plugged it back in and tried again but got nothing no beeps nothing left it for about a 1hr and tried again the motor spun up with stick input but had no servo control (any servos ) unplugged it now if i leave it for about 20min and plug the battery in and try again i just get a loong beep have i done something wrong or am i missing something i have read in one forum to use a card i downloaded the THUNDER POWER’s Electronic Speed Controller mannual as in one forum someone said they are the same setup as mystery and i also read some where that you could connect a other battery to his rx , yes only 4aa batterys to rx if the the above line is correct whitch pin on the rx is + and - on walkera 701 rx anyone please point me in the right direction

sorry but every time i take something into complete or habbit that i have not buy from them they seem to switch off and dont care , this goes for my planes buggys and helis like today i go in and get some dean plugs and bullet plugs and some pinon gears All was going good but soon as i pulled out the mystery 4200kv they didnt want to know and was told that they would not have any pinon gears for this motor yet looking over the guys shoulder i could see a bag of 11t 2.3 pinons dont understand why hobby stores do this as a sale is a sale even when its compertions stuff who cares hobby stores in S.A dont like to help unless you buy it from them do they not understand that more and more people buy from the net and if they stock some of the cheap stuff they would make a heap more money so when it comes to info i would and do only listen to the guys on this forum as the guys here are not full of BS and most hobby stores will try to get you to buy the upmarket one
