Noob to RC Boats
I'm kind of a noob. My friend gave me his old Hobby Engine Flash boat, and it looks cool. How are these boats? Are they cheap-o? If so, what boat should i get? I'm looking for a 21 inch catamaran that will keep up with an Atomik Barbwire for less than 160 dollars, and it can't be the barbwire. Thanks!

RE: Running 2 Brushless ESCs on 1 Reciver?
ORIGINAL: PetRock The Y-cable would work: but you may find installing 2 brushless motors in an E-Maxx doesn't give you great bang-for-your-buck. A single budget motor (example) is enough to flip it over backwards if you stab the throttle, and give you top speeds that you can't sustain due to ballooning tires and the high center-of-gravity allowing the chassis to wallow all over the place. Maybe start with one brushless motor and see how it handles? Example: Look at how this Savage Flux handles with a single brushless: your E-Maxx chassis and tires aren't going to be any more composed.
THanks, i might just have to consider using 1 motor! Would this one give me enouth speed and power? http://www.hobbypartz.com/ezbrposycoc1.html

RE: Noob speaking advice
1. Truggy; A mix between a truck and a buggy. The truck is more bashproof. 2. A great brand is Team Losi, Traxxas' cars aren't that exceptional. 3. The fastest and most durable would be a XXX-SCT ready to run edition. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_44_1171/products_id/195997/n/Losi-Rockstar-XXX-SCT-1-10-Scale-RTR-Electric-2WD-Short-Course-Truck 4. There is not really a guide to it; RC is something you discover things with yourself. 5. The XXX-SCT is pretty durable out of the box. For the brushed RC Setup, you should be fine. As you break things, replace the broken pieces with aluminum parts.

RE: Brushless motor in a toy grade boat?
Brushless motors use 3 wires and use a special type of electronics. You would mess up the motor and electronics.

RE: Lunchbox Build
ORIGINAL: thehuntingterminator Alright so I pulled a late-nighter and got the Lunchbox built. It looks exactly like the one in the picture above except that I painted my body a gun metal gray which I think looks cooler. Since it's almost 2AM I decided not to run it outside yet, but I did put around in the 5 foot area I have in my room and it's a lot of fun. Wheelies super easy but turns sharper than expected and just looks cool. Heck, this build was so much fun I actually might buy my next RC as a Tamiya kit. They're so cheap, I would have plenty of extra cash to get a couple of new lipos, some oil-filled shocks, different tires, and a brushless system for it if I wanted all of that. Very happy so far with it. I'll let yall know how I like it once I get to drive it. My brother is going to be soooo happy when he wakes up and realizes he can go drive it. He's been dying to get behind the wheel, so he will definitely be doing that in the morning :)
The thing is really topheavy and hard to drive, even on 15T and 6 cell. Don't try and kill the body on the first run, and have fun!

RE: Neil Armstrong has passed away...
I know who he is. He was on the Apollo 11 space mission and the Gemini 8 and was in CAPCOM for the Gemini 11 mission. Neil was the first ever man to step onto the moon. He said the famous words, 'That's one small step for man, and one giant leap for mankind.' He also used to be a test pilot. RIP Neil Armstrong.

RE: need some help! (traxxas electric truck)
The charger you have is a timer charger, so it charges the battery for 15 mins. or so, regardless if the battery is under or over charged. Peak charger s (like the one i showed you) is when the charger actually checks the battery's voltage, and stops when it is full. The reciver is fine; the batt port is for Nitro (or gas) RC. And, i also notices the battery holder is not on it and the body is missing, too. Just tape the battery in, and use this body; http://www.ebay.com/itm/Traxxas-Nitro-Stampede-Body-New-/251139417979?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a7913677b#ht_2812wt_1186

The truck is a Traxxas Stampede, except one of the older versions. RE: Recommended Servo Speed for 1/8 Buggy
You'd have to get the 1256TG so you do not overload any of the electronics with a higher battery voltage. But, no worries, Savox's official site says it's great for 1/8 buggy steering.

RE: so u got to see this.
The first thing is a brushless system. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_221_911_1949/products_id/204569/n/Castle-Creations-Sidewinder-Sv2-1-10-12V-Sport-ESC-Motor-Combo-w-Neu-Castle-1406-5700kV Next is tires. Ask around at your track for what other people are using, and try those. Then is LiPOs. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1389_1393_1856_2380/products_id/215905/n/EcoPower-Electron-2S-Li-Poly-30C-Hard-Case-Battery-Pack-74V-5000mAh-ROAR-Approved Finally, a good servo. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/61_100_2167_2169/products_id/183316/n/Savox-SC-1258TG-Standard-Digital-High-Speed-Titanium-Gear-Servo Or, you can scrap all of these ideas, and learn to drive better. (This idea is the best i suggested.)
