No sweat guys ( as far as I'm concerned) the no RX batt Observation like that of the no servos with the RDS8000 was just that, an Observation. No complaints here, the goodness of this Radio speaks for itself. Cheers to Airtronics!!! Now I'm gonna hafta get a Plank to add to the heli fleet[:D]

RE: *Airtronics RD8000 2.4 GHz*
ORIGINAL: MikeGreenshields We took one RDS8000, switched it to mode 1, put the springs on and took off the ratchet so that both sticks center and we use it in a rock crawler. We have it programmed so that you can drive it two channel with forward and reverse throttle and right/left normal steering. Then you throw a couple of mixers and now the motor for the front wheels and the motor for the back wheels are on separate sticks and the steering for the front wheels and the steering for the back wheels are totally separate on different sticks. Crawlers are in a class all by themselves! It sounds weird but it is what you need to really make one work! Yep, the RDS8000 is amazingly versatile. Mike
Mike you''ve got a lot of time on you''r hands my friend some guys just have all the fun!![:D]

mike just real quick, will there be any problems with a buddy cable on the new 8000?, would it be possible to hook up a RD6000super to the new RD8000 to use as a buddy box? or do the band diffrences prevent that?

first off, I would like to thank mike greenshields for his awesome support[8D] I'm getting me one!! a RD8000 not a mike[;)] got my bid in on one as we speak/type, and for back up I got one back order as well. I've had aRD6000super for 4 years now and love it! always wanted a RD8000 and now is the time!! I was pondering on a JR9303 since I got a 6102 and like that as well but the airtronics will do just fine thank you. can't wait[:D]

RE: Problems with first Hover
Make sure the piece of rubber tubing that holds the tail rotor tight to its wheel, is tight. the rotor it self has two loockin teeth on it that fit onto holes on the gear wheel. the gearwheel and the rotor (properly seated) are held in place on the tail shaft thru the rubber tubing. if not tight the gear on the motor wont mesh right with the gearwheel. and or! the 2 little screws that hold the tail motor in its case came loose and the motor moved away from the wheel gear. The honnebee2's tail on mine should be tha same as you'rs hopefully thats all thats the matter with it.[:o]

I use thumbs myself.........unless I wear a neck strap I cant pinch. so I have resorted to thumbs all the way. I would say no advantages. but thats me. stick with what works for you. I find that trying to pinch is like trying to learn to write left handed.[8|]

RE: shaking!
Or balance one blade at a time. have someone hold a steak knife on a table for you sharp edge up( please be carefull while doing this, don't cut you'rself or something!!!!!) and put the blade on the knifes edge. you want to make the blade, balance itself, as best you can. (like a teteer toter at level) once done mark the blade where it contacts the knifes edge. then do the same to the second blade..........when done place both blades next to each other to see if the marks you placed on them line up.

Perfectly said I agree 100% I use Hitech supers on my X400s and Trexers they are FM type. but have Opted for PCM on my nitro machines. hopefully I will never get to find out which one is better, thru glitch interference[:@]

RE: Anyone bought a Trex from this site ?
I got a trex and a x400 from rc expert communication was good and shipping was so so a month, considering they are on the other side of the rock not too shaby I guess. The actual airframes were good, the batts they sent were NFG!!! for these birds not enough power. the servos and ESCs lasted A few flights (5) on my Trex and the ESC on my X400 whent up in smoke on the 3rd flight, in flight[:@] however fair is fair the choppers did fly, not for long but..... fly they did[8|] the things I have left that still work are, the Airframes, the Airtronics Rd6000super and its 6ch Rx, and the Align 400Lf motors. I know buy all my stuff from the states, bryce at heliaddict, dennis at deetee. Ricks. in short!!! stick with namebrands, stay close to home[;)]

RE: ARK X400
I love my X400s I have both Trexers and Ark. I found it(Ark) A little Easier to fly but its maybe cause of the weights on the flybar it comes with. none the less though, a trex with flybar weights is also a well behaved copter. Ultimatley its up to you and wether you set it up Right, is what will tell how well it flies. Either bird though is a fine choice IMOP[;)]

RE: Bad idea to buy a 90?
The other thing to consider here is the danger level with a nitro and a 90 no less. since you can more or less hover I would say you can learn to fly a 90. just don't forget the extra attention and Respect, it Requires and you'll do fine. as for the TX, you hit the nail dead on the head. good choice[;)]

RE: Son of a glitch

Do I need to rearrange anything?

I would start there. I have all my servo leads on one side seperate from ESC to Rx leads. has helped alot. the intermitten quitting is some say due to ESC overheating. I have My CC35 tied to the side of my heli with room between it the heli , sos ample air from the rotor passes thru both sides of the ESC. not an ideal place to put it but I take my chances.
