RE: Nitro models pusher Bobcat?
Can you post a picture when you have the tank mounted as there is not much room with the small metal wing alignment bar in place

RE: FRL45 Gas engine Whats the verdict?
Ok another question I have replaced the oil seal anyway but the one we remove has a 14mm hole why are we replacing this with a 15mm holed one?

RE: FRL45 Gas engine Whats the verdict?
If the front seal is leaking can you hear it? My motor won't pull fuel up from the tank, but if fill the fuel line by disconnecting it and flowing in the breather and then reconnecting the fuel line while it is still full of fuel the motor starts and runs fine...

RE: KMP Beaver: Just started, looking for feedback
Hi guys, I have got myself a second hand KMP Beaver which is different to the Troy Built model one I am seeking some measurements for some parts I am missing 1. All the aluminium that attaches under the fuselarge for float use - can I have the width, the angle of the bend at the end and the overall width 2. For the floats the distance the floats are meant to be apart measured from centre line of one float to the centre of the other 3. As my cowl has been hacked for the previous owner motor has anyone made a mould for this cowl or have a spare cowl 4. I am also missing the large infill that cover the centre section of the fuselarge between the wings 5. Also missing is the spar which I can remake out of 15mm aluminium but again would like the length and connection points if anyone has this information If anyone has any of the above parts and would like to sell them or donate them I will be more than happy to over your costs Thanks Heap

RE: FRL45 Gas engine Whats the verdict?
Just to revive an old tread, I am in the process of putting a FTL 45 in a ESM DHC-2 Beaver 95" I am going to put it on floats so wanted the extra engine size. The main problem is with the head of the motor sticking out the bottom of the cowl and the side mounted card sticking out as well it does not leave much of the carb in place. A question, the carb on mine when you open the choke it locks on a throttle stop thing are people removing all these links and just have having a basic lever or leaving them in place. I have left mine in plave and attached a home made horn made out of pcb material and riveted it on to the existing horn

RE: TNX won't run on WOT
Well as everyone was basicly saying not enough fuel. I replaced the fuel tank with a new one and all is now good. I have not had a chance do pull the one apart as yet, but only can guess that some glue must have got in to the bottom of the tank partiacly blocking the fuel pickup Thanks to everyone that commented

RE: TNX won't run on WOT
Jim, the fuel pickup is at the bottom. What broke off was the primer button leaving a 5mm Hole which I covered. On removing the fuel line from the carby and blowing into the tube which is normaly in the hole in the exhaust fuel flows. I will check tomorrow if fuel just drains from this fuel line once removed from carb and placed lower than fuel tank incase glue has fallen in blocked the fuel pickup. I think I will put a small wire into the fuel pickup on the tank and confirm it goes threw ok. So everyone is basicly saying fuel starvation, The HSN is currently unscrewed more than it every has been. Being a strong beliver in what happened last is the fact the my first repair on the tank was never that great and always leaked a bit. I beleive now that I have fixed it air tight I thought the fuel tank might be becoming to pressurized from the exhaust but I have tried leaning the HSN and no go and also making it richer no go So I will be busy for sure tomorrow got lots to do before trying to run it again

RE: TNX won't run on WOT
The idle setting is set flush with the housing so low speed setting should be right, I have had trouble finding the HSN factory settings for the TNX - have found references to 2.5 turns and 4.5 turns and have tried both Does anyone know what is the correct setting

TNX won't run on WOT
Ok TNX with the OS18R engine, Short version - fixed fuel tank and now dies at WOT Long version - Fuel tank was cracked at the prime botton so covered over the area with epoxy and now I can not get the truck to run properly It will start and idle it will accellrate to approx half trottle after that is just wants to die, I have tried leaning and making it richer no go. I have replaced the glow plug, fuel line and the pipe from the exhaust to the fuel tank, I have removed the high speed needle housing and disasembled and no dirt in it. Running the truck on the bench with wheels up and same goes can run up to approx 1/2 trottle but go for full trottle and dies. So seeking any idea's on what to try next. I also have a question, as taking the truck out to the block next door and it dieing all the time and constantly have to go play fetch, can I remove the wheels and using a fan blowing on the engine head try and fully tune it on the bench? Looking for all help on this one as it's been three days of frustration Thanks
