RE: info on foam and making airboat
Thanks - I was a member on that forum also when I built my first boat, but that thread stops and does not show how he mounted the motor. I think I may just start the project and see where it goes, going to oversize it to make sure it is stable for my son

info on foam and making airboat
Built my first airboat a few years ago from wood and epoxy and it works good but flips on turns. I want to build a wider and longer boat with a super tiger 51 and use pink or blue foam and glue the wood to it. It will not be pretty but want something that my kid can drive and not worry about flipping it. I figure we can build it together and then he can run it wide open with no worries about flipping it. Has anyone used foam and glued the wood to it, what type of glue did you use and how did you mount the motor. Any pics or info is appreciated. Thanks

I fried one of my cells on my IB4200 today and it got hot enough that it made a small bump on the bottom of the boat. Has this happened to anyone and any ideas on how to remove the small bump. This is a first for me frying a cell or battery, do you guys have any controls to shutdown batteries when they get to low or do you just go with feel thanks

Looking for this boat
Would anyone have an idea where to purchase the boat in this pic. They are at a local amusemant park and I think it would be fun to have one on the big boat. They go all day long at the park on a single charge.

Winter project - need some advice
Looking to put together a boat that I can use from my full scale boat in the summer - I would like to find something that looks like a small yacht or something that would get some looks on the water - I have built a swamp buggy from scratch build - so I am fairly new at this - also want to keep cost down. Want to keep power electric - that is the best scenario to take on the boat Any ideas would be appreciated or links to sites thanks coop

RE: Shrink Wrap vs No Shrink Wrap
I am new at this and just built my first packs with help from LHS - The water in the pack bothered me so I ripped off the shrink wrap and the LHS said use Shoo Goo and glue them - this worked well but this weekend I accidently had the battery's touch each other - I think they survived the accident - I recharged and they seem fine I would tend to go no shrink wrap but I need to keep the batts away from each other. Also the LHS guys stated the shrink wrap holds heat - makes sense coop

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27
I am also pretty new but getting tons of help on this forum - It was recommend to me to pull all the hardware off and seal the wood with epoxy and then put back on your hardware and seal mounting holes with silicon when you bolt the hardware back on. Some guys are using electrical tape to tape hatch shut - I would reccomend this - I had my boat with bow barely up and sinking - you can also shove a small piece of pool noodle up front to help. You can also move the antenna to the transom and plug the hole in the radio box where the antenna came out. Also after you do the epoxy and silicon do a float test at home and check for any leaks - coop

RE: Need some more help with my SV
New pickup worked well after I discovered that I had the outlet sealed with silicon after I installed it - once I got the silicon out there was much more water coming out of the outlet from stock. Can you explain how the water cooling jacket works - have you ever had this leak or any problems with it - I am afraid that when I tried to run the boat and the outlet was plugged I was putting to much pressure on the jacket but I am not sure- I caught the no flow and stopped the boat and fixed the problem - nothing was hot but it was a close call. Guess I am learning the hard way on this rig - but having fun coop
