RE: Neptune 40 final assy.
I did have the seamaster years ago, and built it just as the plans say. Now I do not know if the plans are the same or not.

RE: Aurora 9 lock up and crash
I had on of the hitec radio's ( the one that replaced the prisim 7 ) and had a problem with the throtle on all of my heli's. I sent it in and they said they fixed it but it did the same thing ( whe at idle it would jump to full power and the same with it at high idle it would goto low idle) I did set the trim up so that it would not happen anymore but still could not trust the radio. Have to love my Futaba

Hello all, I know that somewhere in the 156 pages of this area there is a post wher someone said to balance the plane but unless I have to I would like to avoid reading all the pages again and have someone tell me where to balance the plane please. Brad

RE: Giant scale Lanier Stinger
I do have a master airscrew on the plane and was not even sure it would fly the stinger but it did, as I said in post # 6 the plane is to test the engine. I did not expect any great preformance out of the plane/engine combo, I did like how the g 38 pulled the plane off the ground and how it did pull it in the air even being under powered. After some more flying I will put it away till I get another g 38 and test that engine out on it then I will think about putting the supertiger 4500 back on or look for a g62 to test on it.

I have heard that the A and the B are very close. At the airshow (Red Deer ) I was sure that they said they were B-26"s but that was a long time ago.

RE: Everytime an arf guy builds a kit...an angel gets its wings !
I have picked up some of everything at a couple of actions but mostly plans, The couple of kit planes I have picked up were great fliers, the kits were complete and now picked up an arf which I now heard that it dose not fly well but will give it a shot this summer. The arfs that I have bought ( there is to many in the last couple of years ) have proved to be great fliers that have been from Great Planes. A hanger 9 40 sized cub which I'm having a bit of problems with, but then the P51 is a great flier and had to get another one. I still have planes on the board for building and always will ( to many plans and have to build them ) and a couple of kits to finish.

Mine is the giant scale, I know that it realy pulled on the ground well but did have to re balance it before flying and then the snow came so no test flight yet.

RE: Giant scale Lanier Stinger
I picked up a g 38 and put it in my stinger to test out the engine but have not flown it yet, I have run it on the ground and I think it will have the power to take off and fly but will have to gain some altitude and then dive it to do any rolls. As I said it is to test out the engine and another g 38 once I get it for a D-18 I want to build next winter.

RE: Shipping Large Scale planes...
If you go with a freight company make sure to spend a couple of dollers on some "fragile" and "no forklift " stickers. I have seen many of boxes with holes in the sides from people using forklifts without any care for the customers stuff and with the weight of a plane and crate it should not be to bad. If you want them to keep it on one side then some "this end up" stickers should go on it to.

fiberglas and ca
Ok this is my scenario, I have a sewwind that was not going to have the retracts in it so I ca'ed the lead weight into the nose to balance it. Now I found a good deal on the retracts for the seawind and want to get the weight out, I do have some cs debonder but am worried about what it might do to the fiberglass. Is it safe to use debonder or is there something better to use to help relese the weight? The fiberglass is not the strongest over the wheelwell so I do not want to put to much pressure on it. Brad

RE: Twin Engines; Starting Procedure
Rhe way I tuned the engines was to tune the one then the other, once you have both of them running nice then you tune them together ( try to keep them within 500 rpm of each other) always be on the rich side. I most times go by sound and you will know when the engines are close buy the great sound the engines make when they sing together.

RE: How many WWII German aircraft were MINUS the swastika?
This is an intresting thread to read, I agree with the scale veiw of the swastika. I love to see any airplane fly no matter if it is a warbird or a civilian one they all look great to me. The one thing that I find funny about all this is that the WWII German aircraft that all of us are talking about, were built and flown for the Germans ( Hitler ) and that even without the swastika the plane has the same background as the swastika. So now how can one person disagree with the swastika but love to see a Stuka or 109 flying around the flying field or sitting on display? The Germans bumped up the aviation advances quite a bit with the warbirds and other war time equipment as did all others in the war. Where would we be in this world if not for WWII and the advances it brought us. Again The ME 109,262, ect was part of the German airforce, if you can not stand the swastika on the side of an airplane look away for that airplane has the same meanning with or without it. But then that is the way I see it.... I have freinds that have Greman WWII things that are part of the history and are great to look at. I also have meet people that think Hitler had all the right ideas and would be willing to stad up with him, that is their ideas but when they are spoken around me and I do not wish the best on them. My Grandfather was in the underground in Holland and would never talk about it with anyone, sometimes I wish he had but that was him.

RE: Bamboo Bomber Build at 72
I gusse it has been a couple of more years since I picked up the wing and plans I still have not found the plans[:@] I have to finnish off a couple more planes before I even think of taking the T-50 wing off of the wing rack ( put retracts in a seawind and finnish off a defient ) also hoping to biuld a D-18 this winter with a friend, so this winter is a bit booked up But will take another look for the plans in the next week or so.

If someone can point out the page or if it was on another thread, or even repost it here I would be thankfull for it.

RE: Nitro Models Rutan Defiant
well this is no good, I'm not into the e-flying ( need the sound of gas ). But on the other hand the electric one is flying so the gas one shoud. Thanks for the vidios kwiatkma, and thanks for the other balance point neilh2. I do have two TT 46 pros installed already and just have to put the tanks in and it will be ready to balance, becouse of the ugly white stuff that is now on the ground I do not think it will fly till spring. This will not be my first twin I had a nice little b-25 that had over 300 flights on it and I do miss the sound of twins flying.
