RE: 1/6 Redcat Shredder Newbie Questions!
Are the wheels offset enough to clear the turnbuckles or did you use some type of extended hubs?
ORIGINAL: Fastclass Hello everyone, a month ago I purchased a redcat shredder, 80A 1500kv 4s and love it but now have been infected by the mod bug... Photobucket " alt="" /> It's very durable except for the body! It first started off as a green decal filled body, then sprayed truck bed liner inside, then debadged, then sprayed exterior with truck liner, and duct tape(also used flame duct tape as mud flaps, hilariously simple and cost effective!) in between breaks. I'm wondering if I should get larger capacity lipos or run a better esc and motor. There's a guy on youtube that installed a mamba monster 2200 combo but it's meant for 1/8th scale. I've added larger wheels (big joe with axial beadlocks) and also added leds front back and inside with seperate lipos, so it adds up to about 20lbs compared to the stock 10lbs so maybe 8th scale motors will suffer? I have no idea. Another route I'm thinking of getting a 150a esc and run 6s lipo but don't if the stock 1500kv would handle it, there are no specs for this motor, any help would be awesome!
RE: King Motors Baja Review with pictures
Nice looking buggy man! Doesn't that sound a little fishy, two companies coming out with such a similar design within 2 months of each other? I believe the KM is a clone but that doesn't bother me as long as you know what you are getting into with a replica of another brand. Just my opinion of course
ORIGINAL: Coopz Just for the record, I've had my KM 3.0 for 5 months and have not bent or broken a single part and the engine is still going strong on the original plug:) Just the pullstarter had to be replaced, meh $20... Blinged it up, will get a new pipe soon, the SS clone pipe is far to loud for suburban use. Just need to clear up something, is the KM a clone? I was talking to the local HPI importer the other day and he said HPI bought the design off KM as both buggies appeared on the market within a 2 months or so, far to soon to clone a complex model car down to the last nut and bolt. (yes a HPI person sticking up for a rival brand)

ORIGINAL: molver Another good seller of these buggies is Heat Hobby on ebay, I got mine for 475 USD, free shipping, I would buy from him again anytime, he also has great customer service, a part broke and he sent a free one priority mail. People with a sanctemonious "holier-than-thou" attitude trying and failing miserbly to justify spending more dollars per smile than someone else, ESPECIALLY when their buggy has hardly any original parts on it. There are many important issues in life, and this ain't one of 'em. Let's argue religion or politics, we are sure to find an answer quicker there.... Sweet I may have to get some, I have about $175 in ebay bucks to use. SRT, you think running all rear baja rims/tires would work on 1/10 nitros? what do you have on your mgt, all fronts or fronts and rears?
