RE: L39/Wren 44 Pics and video
Hi Gordon, End point is sensed electronically by stall current of motor when the end is reached. The stall current can be adjusted in increments of .1amp fro .1 to 1.6 amps. GBR JET controllers are very user friendly easy to program, small and at the right price too. I now have all the gear operating, very smooth and reliable, now to install in plane and test. Kind Regards, Craig.

RE: L39/Wren 44 Pics and video
Hi Hal, The motor and gearbox comes from POLOLU the part Number is 1597 it is 35:1 ratio. You have to machine a new coupling..I used aluminium and you have to machine a new brass actuating pin..the reason being the thread in the original is very loose on 4-40 all thread rod. I think th ally drive coupling is 15mm x 8.5mm diameter threaded rod end has 20 degree taper to clear trunion when pivoting. I tapped 4-40 hole about 10mm deep so the drive rod screws into the coupling then red loctite and grub screw hold it. Threading the drive gives a nice straight assembly. Gear box shaft is 3mm dia. I soldered some 4mm brass tube directly to the motor can and this acts as an mounting point and pivot point for the motor. The sides of the retract have to be bent out a bit to clear the gearbox but not by a lot. Hope this helps. [:D] Kind Regards, Craig.

RE: When's the 12X replacement coming?
Hi Martin, Checked out horizon but I did'nt see any thing like mine. I did do a web search on DM12 a a lot came up referring to MX22 and DM12 but most of it was in german. I recall the module being a replacement fro the Graupner MC18 and MC24 radios. When I got mine I had to reposition the antenna plug from the side of the module to the back of the module but it was an easy modification. If you like I can make some enquiries from the hobby shop I got mine from purchase it on your behalf and send to you, you can fix me up for the cost. Hope this helps. Kind Regards, Craig.

RE: When's the 12X replacement coming?
Hi Martin, Spektrum DM12 module has been avaialble for about 12-18 months now. The module is the same as DM9, just plug it into the back of your radio and viola 12 proportional channels back again. I run R1221X Jr Receivers and plug it all in and mix it ie: rudder steering servo, flaps etc. The DM12 is available in Australia. Kind Regards, Craig.

RE: When's the 12X replacement coming?
My MX22 with 12 channel Spektrum module does everything I need, Helis, jets, plenty of channels and switches to keep me happy. I would buy an new engine or jet before I purchased a new radio. BRG, Craig.

Hi Siclick33, I dont think a NACA section would be suitable on a delta maybe a semi symetrical or symetrical would be better. Maybe the SD series. Regards, Craig.

RE: Roll Out of my New Super Bandit
Hi Roger, My Bandit Arf is slowly progressing...most of the fiddly bits are done. I have been toiling away on 2 new planes...an L39 with new Lambert turbine and a long term project like yours, my Renegade with Wren 44 for power. I hope to get the Renegade finished for Temora, L39 is ready to rock. Good luck at Cudal on Sunday. Are you going to Temora? Best Regards, Craig.

RE: P-20 Airframe Thread
Hi Kenneth, Thank you for you're words of support and technical information. Sweet Mig 15 you have built, I hope we see the test flight report soon. I have an early Lambert fitted to a Twinjet which is extremely fast so I have a good feeling about the Savex L39/T25 combo but as with new projects it is always good to get as much info as possible and see what other guys are doing to make it successful. I am going to assemble the jets with minimal weight added so it will be a challenge but also a fun project. There is always a sense of satifaction when you fly you're new creation and it is performing beyond expectations. I think if you put the best in you will get the best out. Kind Regards, Craig.

RE: P-20 Airframe Thread
Hi Henke, I have a falcon 120 with a wren44 gold on it and it flies great. By no means a missile but a good flying sport jet. The airframe, I suppose would be considered draggy but performance is more than acceptable. Personally I would not put any more power on a falcon 120. I think the L39 will be fine with the Lambert. I asked Vaclav to build them light and they are truly beautiful, he has done a superb job on them. They are extremely light and you can see you're self in the paint job. Cant wait to get them flying. Kind Regards, Craig.

RE: P-20 Airframe Thread
Hi Henke, Yes it will be an interesting combo I hope. I have considered fitting the engine down the back but getting the correct cg may mean I have to put excessive weight in the nose which is defeating the purpose. Where the balance point is, 80mm from the wing leading edge, will see about 60% of the weight behind the c of g so getting it to balance may be a challenge, but it would be great if I didnt have to run a pipe. I would like to get the set up super light so the plane will be good to fly at my club field. I have an early Savex L39 with a wren44 gold in it, it flies great but is reasonably heavy. Thank you for your suggestions. Kind Regards, Craig.

RE: P-20 Airframe Thread
Hi Kenneth, Thank you very much for taking the time to check that out for me. 2.61kg is impressive! What distance have you got the turbine tail pipe set from the jet pipe? I will be fitting 2 Savex L39's with new lambert turbines and would like to get the best pipe available. Thanks for your effort. Kind Regards, Craig.

Hi All, Where are you guys getting pipes for the P20/Lambert size turbines. I will need 2 very soon, preferably like the Wren pipe which increases thrust would be good. Thanks in advance. Kind Regards, Craig.
