How many Helo pilots are using PCM?
I use FM and have never had a problem in three years of flying. I've seen others with both PCM and FM have problems and resulted in a crash. PCM is not full proof but I do think it's better.

Wagstaff Extra 300
LeeL, Thanks for the info. I am shooting for a weight of 13.5lb with half the weight coming from a pull-pull rudder setup. The plane should balance without added lead up front. This one change alone will save 6oz (servo & extensions 2.5oz and lead 3.5oz) The tail wheel rods will also be changed to springs for steering like my Sig 300XS (1 oz). Only 4 oz to go wish me luck!!!! crazyray

Wagstaff Extra 300
LeeL, I have been thinking about using an OS 160 that I already have for my PW 300. How's the vertical with the OS 160? What prop did you use? I have also been thinking about using a pull pull setup on the rudder instead of the 2 servo setup to help with weight and balance. Any info you can give would be helpful. Crazyray

H9 Sukhoi-feedback
Jelaird, your right 7.5" which is the same distance if you use a Zenoah GT80 so everything should work fine. To get 7.75" all I have to do is get (4) 10-32 x 2.75" capscrews and add the 1/4" spacers that came with the standoffs. RCshowcase standoff link below. Hope this helps. jelaird, I used 1.5" standoffs from RCshowcase to mount the ZDZ80. The capscrews are 10-32 x 2.5" with blindnuts behind the firewall. I had to cut the firewall for carb clearance. Also a picture on Chiefaircraft.com.....link below. http://www.chiefaircraft.com/Models/PowerAirplanes/Hangar9/Images/CA_ZDZ_APDT.jpg

Why SIG Extra 300 XS so tail heavy????
The plane would not flat spin, waterfall or harrier with the CG at 27% The throws were at the rec. settings but I'm going for more on all surfaces. I hope it will 3D after the changes.......If not I have a PW Extra and H9 27% Cap NIB for this coming season,

DUCATI996, It's at 27% now but I'm going to try 29% as soon as it gets warmer along with an 18-8 prop. crazyray

Francis, I also have a Sig 300SX w/ OS 160. I only needed 5oz to balance the plane per instructions. The battery (1100mAh) and 3 oz of lead were placed on the fuel tank cover. The other 2oz of lead was placed on the motor mount. If I would have used a Tru Turn spinner I could remove some of the lead since it would be heaver than the stock one. My plane flys great with this setup. Crazyray

Great Planes Patty W. w/OS160
Is anyone using an OS160 in this plane? If so how does it fly? How is the vertical? Weight of the plane? Any weight need to be added to the nose for balance? Thanks in advance.

sig extra 300xl arf, which glow motor ?
rvd, Sorry about that........and thanks! What RPM do you get from the 18x8 ZingerPro? Midget Racer, I use HiTec 645MG with excellent results (60 flights) with no problems. If you want digital the 5645MG are good as well and you can use the Hitec programer with them. Links below. Go with the OS 160, Bisson Muffler & 15% coolpower. 10-12 minute flights with the stock 17oz tank are no problem. 16x10 APC prop tach at 9000rpm, No tach readings or flights with 18x8 Bambula yet.
