acerc, I have found that painting figures that a base of white make them easy to paint,I also wanted to fly the plane with them in place to see if velcro would keep them in place(it did) They never tried to get out,I guess it was safer in the plane.I will post some flight shots when I get them. RE: ***CUB BROTHERHOOD***
I just test flew A DP PA 18 super cub that I got from a club member. It had 5 flights on it and was damaged 0n the fifth landing. The damage was to the cowl, windscreen and the nose. When I repaired the damage I covered the switch and fuel dot behind the cabin door, really cleans up the outside of the plane. The plane is now marked as a L-21A as used by the Army in the 1950's Crazystick Cub

RE: Dave Patrick super cub
The wings had very little damage, repaired tips. The nose was broken off, repaired replaced Cowl and windsheld. The damaged area was recovered with utra-coat. It is powered by a CRRC PRO 26R which turns a 18/6 prop.So for it has 7 flights on it since repairs. The best thing was that I got the airframe for only $200 Crazystick

David,If you look at the third photo taken in post 31,I took a photo at the same time looking back in your direction.I had been standing near the end of the fence when the B 17 crashed, just to the left of that speaker. Had a few balsa splinters on my shirt. Crazystick

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications
You can resrink with a heat gun but not a iron.I have done mine, but it turns the flat lustercoat glossy. If you need to make repairs, the paint needs to be removed with some type of thinner. Crazystick
