RE: New tool set
Buy tools that will last and you can afford. Hudy went through a lot of trouble to make the tools he wanted to make. They are most likely not making enough pieces at a time to be more affordable

RE: New tool set
There are several different types of tool steel made today. All you have to do is research to find the right one for your application. I really don't think that Hudy is a metallurgist able to come up with a grade/type of tool steel that no other manufacturer has to offer, there are several in the world: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_steel_producers Must have spent a few million on an electric arc furnace and a few more on a lab to test his steel, he probably had help with material selection and hardening method.

Hi, my name is Michael, and I am a Speed Plane Addict. I have been a Lover of Speed Planes for.....months/years, and with the help of the Revvers Brother-hood I hope to make my planes even FASTER !!! Help with webra TN carb
I got this webra speed 50 and it runs great. I just cant figure out how the carb barrel is supposed to close so the engine will stop . Instead of having to pinch or pull the fuel line. It will run about 4k for a moment then load up a bit down to just over 3k. What is the third screw with a spring under it for?

http://www.spyder.tv/section/products/mr_series/emr1.html I have one of these. I love it, you can dial the muzzle velocity up and break the balls in the barrel or down so they might not break when they hit something. 1 shot. 3 round burst or just hold the trigger and wait til the hopper is empty [8D]

I do maintenance at a hotel next to downtown disney. The place is pushinlg 40 years old and falling apart . I made a mistake and told them I was a welder and pipe fitter. Now i get large projects to do and no time to do them because of guest calls and idiot contractors breaking things like fire srinklers. I LOVE my job[:D]

I agree with Steve Helland. I'm not a career welder, but I have done(and still do) enough tig welding. Just weld it. It will be inexpensive enough and easy to have done.

RE: Why Have 72 mhz Radios Not Come Down In Price?
Why Have 72 mhz Radios Not Come Down In Price? Why would someone go and buy a brand new 72 mhz radio with 2.4 availible? Just wondering.
I did. Went into my LHS and saw a JR XP7202 sitting under the glass for $100 with receiver batts 4 didgital servos and hardware. I bought it and that move upset my old Hitech Prism 7x enough that the module quit. I like being able to select any channel i need to fly when i want. just go look at the pins on the board, take one down and use it.

RE: The future of Glow engines
You can buy methanol for about 3 bucks a gallon, maybe less. Its the nitro that's expensive. So if the price is expensive then use low or no nitro fuel. If the price of low or no nitro fuel is expensive then mix your own. You can buy oil for about $20-$25 per gallon so 0% nitro fuel would be about $6. I considered buying a Fox or Magnum .50 sized gas engine, but the ignition modules are just too large for this size model. The performance while good, is not good enough.
where do you get methanol that cheap? my rossi engines love no nitro fuel[:D]
