RE: BME 37% Ultimate
Good to find a local on here. How the heck do you set the Center of Gravity? I have never done it the way described in the book. Any tips on where to balance in relationship to tip of front wing. bipeguy03, shoot me an email at chriswhipple34@embarqmail.com. I am a kenton alumni. I would love to start this thing up tonight but need some help to hold it so I can test the smoke.

Need help covering this 80cc Illusion Biplane
Looking for a pro in Ohio to help me cover this plane. I will pay all materials and a fair price for labor. I am open to suggestion on covering substrate. This plane is built too well to mess up the covering job. I live at Indian Lake and can bring the plane to you. I have several planes that I may consider trading as payment as well.

RE: Phaeton 90 Build Thread
I was making good time until tonight. Dad has the good belt sander so I am on hold for a day or two. Sat and looked at it tonight wondering why I am building a kit. LOL!!! ARF's have spoiled me. Of course, this kit is not the easiest. I am used to the "everything included and labeled" style of kit building. Have to decide what to do for landing gear and top wing mount. Don't like the solder method!!!

RE: Phaeton 90 Build Thread
Also using Robart hinges for the first time. They are pretty easy to work with once you get the drill process figured.

Edwin, can you post a picture of your servo setup in the fuselage? I would be interested to see how you created the mounting surface.

RE: Phaeton 90 Build Thread
Started the build but will have to get some pictures. Tail section is built and I have completed the left and right fuselage halves. In the process of gluing the formers in place. The instructions leave a lot to the imagination. I think I will sheet the entire fuselage for added strength. I figure using a 20+cc gas motor will allow for a little extra sheeting. Plans do not show location for servos in wings or fuselage either. LOL... [8|] I may have bitten off more than I can chew but I will fly it...

Going to Lowes today. I can get a new one for 22 if they don't have any damaged. My table is perfect for a 22 or 24" blank. Thanks for the tip.
ORIGINAL: lkruse While the Sig ''Hog Bipe'' is not rated for a .90 engine, I have seen several fly with .90 four-strokes. I've attached a photo of my ''Hog Bipe'' powered by a Magnum .70 4-stroke, which does not overpower it by any means, but certainly is adequate.
No picture.
