there the SMD leds which are the type used to light up things like mobile phones there absolutly tiny would they work with a hl circit at that size i could put several in,what resistors would i need? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50-x-ULTRA-BRIGHT-BLUE-PLCC-2-SMD-LEDs-SMT-LED-PLCC2_W0QQitemZ350267373781QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET?hash=item518d8ff8d5

more lighting questions
i have already made a thread on lighting but save going back to it ill start another i bought a bunch of 3mm leds to use in the lighting on my panzer iv and kv these are ok for the panzer iv but they wont fit in the kvs aftermarket lamp straight.. the kv lamp has a large area of "glass" so it looks naff having an led stuffed in it sideways(leds are directional) i had a look for smaller and found pre-wired superflux 4-chip LEDs and even smaller SMD leds i cant find these in the uk pre wired how are they wired up? do they need a special mounting? but there are lots of led types its a bit duanting so.. im looking for some type of led(not incandescant) that is no taller than 2mm and will run off the heng long circit, anyone?

RE: Removing parts from HL Pershing for painting
i dont have this tank but for hls in general they are glued down, sometimes to exess tools can be carefully pried off with a blunt blade,a staple remover works well or pushed out from inside with a screwdriver if they have pegs..its worth doing as it allows better painting and cleaning up any flash left on the tools themselves

RE: a few MORE hl panzer iv questions....
the voltage 3v runs of the hl circit without resistors i picked them up off ebay i changed out the bulbs in the working headlamps too as the new leds are VERY bright the notek is even brighter as the leds light ouput is mostly forward stryene is a given choice for filling the turret rear i was more leaning towards a how to do it than a what i tried to fill the gap with a large pice of 2mm styrene but it was difficult to keep in place i was wondering if anyone else has filled this has pics of how they did it[;)] no-one have an opinion on the metal visors?

a few MORE hl panzer iv questions....
i have the metal side hatches which i bought for the panzer iii would i be able to get away with using these on the panzer iv for the hull and turret? there smaller but more detailed and lack the weird skewed look of existing side hatches not so much a question as a request for opinions... anyone have any good ways of walling up the turret rear after removing the moulded back box,im regretting doing this now running on from another thread i made a funtional notek[;)] with a 3mm led,a dremel and some filler

any ww1 armour thogh on the the more realistic note i would like to build both a tiger prototype and an smk multi turret both should be easy(er) than the ww1 tanks as they would use donor parts from existing 1/16 tanks

RE: hl panzer iv question
nope i think that covers it.. the photo i found shows what looks like a small thin panel running across the inside of the turret gaurd it seems to be one of these panzer ivs on the primeportal walkaround but there is a lot of rust obscuring things... thats enogh for me anyway as the hl panzer iv is not that accurate anyway ill simply sand off the ends outside the tg it was just bugging me what to do with it
