RE: EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ELECTRIC FLIGHT
I have a richmodel yak 54 that has a 30 amp esc and a r-28 rimfire engine on it however I don't know what battery to use can you help me out with a very simple , non-teck way to size my elect planes for batteries??? It seems that all the batteries that I am using on the yak 54 are causing the esc to get real hot in just a couple of seconds. The motor is what is recomened and so is the esc but they don't give any information on what battery to use . I have tried a 1500amp 3s 15c on up to a 2000amp 3s 20c but everything is heating up the esc to a very high tempeture and then the motor wants to quit on me . Help anywhere without the tech-no stuff . I is just an old country boy.??

mixing servos
UH at the risk , and hope, of not sounding to dumb on the F22 raptor buy FIY ( fly it yourself) there are only two servos and these four servos are connected to the aler and the elev both. Long wire on both sides connects to aler and the elv. Do I set up the transmitter as a delta wing (on the JR 7202) or do some sort of mixing so that both the alerion and elevators work correctly? I am thinking that when I give it a little up elev that all of the alerions and elevators should move to the up position. Right ?? And when I give it an alerion comand (either left or right ) then that sides elev and aler should move together and the other remain still right . I know I knew this once but where the memory of just what to do to set it up has vanished from my dwindling brain . Any one want to help the old guy out with this one once again

RE: SAPAC Saab JAS-39 Are finally In
Hey guys thanks for all the information. I knew there was a reason that I had not gotten around to putting this puppy together yet. Yes I am doing the stock build as I got the order messed up and had to wait for the fan and motor. Thinking of changing the motor after hearing the flight report from happyjac. Also I believe that I will mount the fan in the stabb under the wing as apposed to the instructions. Have been having a time trying to get a Zero done and it just seems that I am always waiting on parts. Well I should have all my parts , and extra, soon as I went a little crazy and ordered a whole lot of extra servos , batteries , etc so I don;t have to wait on the next build. I do believe I will take some time in the build and offer a lot of pics and suggestions for what they will be worth. I can build like a champ but flying is still a learning process for me. However I have found out that ( after a mild crash ) foamies respond to a hair drier pretty well in the reshaping process. Crashed my Diamond F-18 and it blew apart from the cockpit to the nose , however it is almost back together. not much to look at right now but just about flyable. Have been using the hair drier to remold the front of the fuse that was in about 30 pieces. Not bad for a fix. I am not throwing away a 200 dollar jet because it crashed. Sad part of it all is that it was my error . switched of the tx and down it went. I had no idea what went wrong until I went to switch of the tx and it was already off. Happens to us over 50 guys sometimes. Will post again when building
