RE: new to the rc sport
Your looking for a truck with good part support in your area. Popular. Ball bearing transmission and axles. standard sized tyres and hopefully metal shocks. find something that fits that description and then ask about it here. Dann

RE: can this be used for a box starter?
so it will be 3 mm forther away from the wheel. you have t decide if your willing to cut out enough chassis to be able to reach that with your bump start wheel. Dann

RE: can this be used for a box starter?
now compare that to your durrent flywheel and see if its a lot smaller cos if it were the new flywheel wont be close to the bumpstart wheel.

RE: new to the rc sport
Sport is a good beginners truck. I would recommend replacing the shocks and rear shocktower as the shocks arent thats good and are sort of weak and the rear tower is similar. apart from that your good to go. :) oh, and ball bearings soon if they dont already come with them stock. Dann

RE: engine
i personally would recommend a slide carbie. the linkage is very simple for that also. the low end response of the slide really compliments the gt1's low weight. Dann

RE: Jato w/ trx 3.3 cutting out... help!
he means 1-2 seconds after he gives it gas not when doing a pinch test. if it were too lean and were cutting out at 1/4 throttle it would be a lot faster than 1-2 seconds and it sounds as tho it idles fine. Dann

RE: can this be used for a box starter?
it would be smaller diameter. making it hard to bumpstart. you will be able to iff you cut a larger slot in the chassis, this is normal for GT racers. but if your unsure find the diameter of the flywheel ok. Dann

RE: Jato w/ trx 3.3 cutting out... help!
so you pull the throttle and it starts to die and after 1-2 seconds it stops? well thats actually quite slow. sounds very rich. lean it out some more and test (remember because your leaning it you have to be careful so dont be ultra throttle happy cos if it doesnt need to be leaned and its a mechanical problem you dont have as much lubrication as before). RE: can this be used for a box starter?
They can all be used with a pullstart. i cant actually go to the link for some reason but i assume its a flywheel or clutch bell. anyway, the only thing that cant be used with a pullstart is a backplate (cos it replaces the pullstart) or a non pullstart crank (used in conjunction with the backplate).

you wont get titanium tie rod ends but you will find lundsford tie rods. rod ends are almost universal.

RE: RC10GT differential problem??
the usual procedure for tightening is to tighten until it stops (dont turn it hard you will damage things but you will know when enoughs enough) and then back it off 1/8th turn and drive it in figure eights, also check all of the balls are in and you havent forgotten the spring. Dann

RE: OS .18 cvr Rustler Help
the planetary gears are steel already, you CAN get a ball diff for the rusty but i wouldnt recomend it because you will need to rebuild it a lot. what your describing i have never done but you could fix it by packing the diff with epoxy and ten you would have a locker. which is more fun imo. Dann

RE: OS carb Problem...any suggestions?
I dont THINK it will affect tuning. They sell those on tower (or they used to) if you feel the need to replace it. but its worth 2/3 of a new engine. Dann

RE: Rc 10 Gt battery box???
Dont bother with the battery box. With your hump cack, use two zip ties in the holes going from the front to the back of the rear skid, and then one zip tie joining the two at the top to stop the battery coming out the top. Dann

RE: Official Traxxas Nitro Sport Thread!!
Os ftw i reckon. The thing about OS is that they just start, simple as that, oh i almost forgot the torque the CVRs put out. The os 12 cvr is a great upgrade for the sport and i would definately recommend it if they are still available. but if you want an 18, get the 18.I have an OS 12 TZ in my GT and ill take on any traxxas powered stadium with it any time any day. OS ftw. Dann

RE: i got 300 bucks to spend
So back on topic. Ill defend the rusty here. the rear shocktower will break if you land it upside down from 6 feet high or so. but the driveshafts. nothing wrong with them.
