RE: Evolution GT26 Choke/Throttle Springs
as you can see in the picture I have completely removed the throttle spring. On the choke if I was going to use a servo I would leave the spring in place, but remove or bend the hooked end out of the way.

You may be refering to something similar to these. http://duraliteflightsystems.com/powerbox-systems/powerBox-systems-powerboxes?product_id=91 or these http://www.smart-fly.com/Products/Expander/expander.htm scroll down till you see EQ10 and that is where servo matching begins. I have never used any of these, so I will not make any comments on them....

for the sake of explanation if channel 2 is aileron and channel 6 is aux1 (on the Receiver) then the program mix will be Ail to Aux 1 and not Ail to Ail

RE: Aileron
Don, I do not have any flight experience with them, but I had designed another set of wings (using the same concept) for my giant protege. However before I could complete the wings, my protege had an untimely contact with terra very firma...There is a build thread on RCSCALEBUILDER.COM where the concept was used in a UHU 219 (I believe). so you may want to check it out. I will try and provide a link later....

RE: Aileron set up
Nope, If you move the stick to the left the airplane should roll to the left which will require the left aileron to move up.

I am using a pitts style side mounted muffler on my Yak-58 Pusher. These style mufflers are also available for glow engines.

RE: servo positioning......!!!
I really don't have an answer. I have never looked for a premade extension that was twisted, so I do not even know if they come . What I have done is take a short extension, cut it in half, solder in a twisted set that I have made to the correct length. Maybe someone else can give you another idea...

RE: servo positioning......!!!
I scratch built a giant protege that had a 101" wingspan. in this airplane I had to make 2ea 40" extensions, 2ea 20" extensions and I believe 2ea 36" extensions. The only thing that I had done to to the extensions was to twist the wires. I did not use any kind of shielding nor did I need any. No interference experienced on this plane.

RE: servo positioning......!!!
IMHO it does not matter one little bit. I will try and get my pushrod at 90 degrees to my servo arm, but I do not worry about orientation of the servo body.

RE: what to turn on first?
according to the DX6I manual page 22, it does not matter. system will still operate. Tx will still find 2 open channels, then the rcvr will find the guid that it is bound too.

RE: Scale Accessories.. how do they do that?
Most of the scale accessories are scratch built. The materials range from foam, plastic, wood, brass, etc. methods range from free forming by hand, to vacuum forming, to making by molds (molds are hand made also). So you are pretty much limited to how you make 'em by your imagination and your pocketbook.

RE: What do you think caused this crash???
You may want to send the Transmitter and receiver in to the Mfg, or an authorized Repair Shop. They can examine both and check for any defects and make any necessary repairs. It may cost a little but then you should have a peace of mind about those two components.

RE: Not worth fixing?
To rebuild or not to rebuild? I would rebuild in a heart beat. Set it aside for a few days and then take another look and you will see that it is really not as bad as it first appears to be.

RE: scratch building 101....tips please..
If you already have a set of plans, then look at them and see if they have the necessary profiles (Ribs, Formers, etc.). If they do then... 1) make at least two copies of the plans, 1 will be to build on, 1 will be sacrificed for the profiles, and the last set will be for safe keeping. once you have the copies verify that there is no shrinkage when compared to the original. 2) go ahead and cut out all of your profiles and mark on them how many will be needed. 3) If you have 10 ribs that are the same, then you will need to cut 10 slighty oversized wooden blanks, lighty tack these blanks and stack them on top of one another, attach the appropriate paper template (profile) with spray adhesive. 4) Now you can cut, sand, shape according to the profile. This can be done on any part as long as they are the same shape, otherwise you are stuck with cutting out each individual part.

RE: Proper prop balancing
I use a little different method. I like to spray paint my prop tips to increase visibility while the engine is running. All I do is just add a quick spray to the lite blade until it balances.

RE: 26 GT Problem
You can do 1 of 2 things. 1) remove prop, use a socket that will slip over the crankshaft and rest against engine housing, tighten prop nuts until crannkshaft is reseated. or 2) ship to horizon for warranty repair. This happened to my evolution 26 cc and i opted for #1. then about 2 weeks later I called horizon and notified them of what had happenned and they had me send it in for repair. I got the engine back in 2 -3 weeks along with a listing of parts that was replaced.. The same problem is also happening on the MVVS 26cc.

A glued in wooden dowel can be redrilled if needed, which I do not believe that you could do that to automotive body filler.
