Hello Jim, I found a link to sperate the hulls and where the screws are. I am wanting to add metal tracks and new 3 to 1 gears as well as metal idler and running gear. I think they are Mato. Given to me by a good tanker. Just am not sure on how to replace the wheels. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks David

Bulldog needed new gears
I am older now and not able to do as much to my tanks. My Bulldog needed some machining done to the Drive sprockets in oorder to install a new gearbox. I had ordered them from Phil at Tank Wars. I wrote him about the problem. He responded in less than an hour and offered to fix them for almost nothing. Just pay postage mostly. I have dealt with Phil for as long as I have been in this hobby. He has always been fair with me and going the extra mile after the sale. I find he is a stand up guy and will continue to do buisiness with him for this. I just wanted to share this great experience with you all. Thanks Phil for all the help you have given me all these years. Next tank or part will come from you. Be well, David

Hello All, After listening to the discussions about the SLU as well as talking to Torpedo Chief discription of installing one and running it I too have decided to put one in my metal hull KV-1 as well as 3 to 1 brass gears. I may have to wait as I think they are sold out for this month. In any case it will be worth the wait I am sure. We also will be adding recoil and a flash unit. I will post when she is finished. My KV - 1
I have had the all metal hull and accesories for my Kv-1 for some time. My friend Don is going to help me build it. I do not build so well. It is good to have his experience close by. This one is for my daughter who is a cancer survivor who happens to like tanking with her Dad. How lucky and I? She will be driving the Kv-1 I will be in the Tiger. I will post pics and video of these tanks when they are finished. It is good to be a tanker with lots of support from this forum. I thank you all. Be well, David

I have been considering one of these. I am a new Tiger fan. I got one of Don's tigers and have decided for lots of reasons to get teh Lower metal hull from Phil. I think the plastic upper hull with the lower metal hull will make it a hell of a tank and I can do more additions cheaper to the plastic upper. I have teh 3 to 1 motors and teh rear adjustable brace and metal wheels and tracks. Part of this decision is setimental but I Phil and I will talk about this build.
