RE: More Skymaster quality issues .. Check your wing ...
Sorry - again, not trying to stir up anything. I am likely only considering the large one. I have not heard about any issues on the larger one but wasnt sure if this topic was limited to the smaller one etc. Thanks in advance. Dave

RE: More Skymaster quality issues .. Check your wing ...
Hello all I don't want to stir up anything but considering. A SM hawk. I am wondering if this issue has been settled on newer versions? Thanks very much Dave

RE: Yellow F22 Build
I listed it here today. Will see what happens. It is great but i don't get to fly it much since it needs a runway and not grass. Dave

RE: Yellow F22 Build
Not sure if you meant me, Dave? I have not quite added it up yet was hoping for price of kit/turbine. It has a jetcat titan SE, JR 1221, Smartfly battshare, Li MN batteries. All JR servos and oversized in the rudder too. Cockpit. PPG/omni all around. An early flight... http://www.uffdarc.com/vid/2008/rush2.wmv Dave

RE: Which large hawk?
Hi Scott, What did you mean about wishing the SM Hawk was more rigid? Do you mean fit of wing to fuse? Hinges for flying surfaces? I have the urge to try a Hawk myself but I keep wondering why I should bother with my Ultra Bandit which is great fun to fly. Thanks Dave

RE: Tam Jets Gear Fail Safe
Sounds like a great solution! I had my trigger switch leak on my A10 because the gear up position had some wiggle room and found that when there was some Positive G that the gear would move enough for some air to escape. Granted this was a mechanical problem and the valve was actually working correctly. Dave

RE: Tam Jets Gear Fail Safe
David, Thanks for sharing. What if the button valve leaks? You could lose all primary and secondary air couldn't you? I had a problem with that valve once, granted it leaked when not fully depressed.. I have had my A10 saved by tam's device and will continue to put some kind of backup in, at least until we go electric! Dave

RE: Minnesota Jet Rally 2012
I would also like to thank many members of the Marion RC Flyers for their time on SAturday and for also supporting the event through the AMA as well (flying site insurance as well). Thanks to BVM for their support - every pilot received at least one raffle prize all courtesy of BVM - Thanks Bob!! Thanks also to M and M in Rushford, they have provided us with an ATV for several years without CHARGE!! The residents that visit the airport enjoy the transportation and we have enjoyed the vehicle for setup and chase duties. I think I used more fuel this year than any other year, 25 gallons, of course in the A10 and the UB it goes quickly! We also got about 7 flights in Sunday AM before everyone had to pack and go. Pictures should follow shortly. Thanks again to everyone that made the trip! Dave

RE: Minnesota Jet Rally 2012
3 great days of flying, today was the busiest despite the threat of rain - we didn't have a drop until 530! Thanks to everyone who made the trip, the Rushford community and especially Mike and Barb Thern for their hospitality at the airport. Thanks also to my wife and my parents for their help with this event every year too. Picture are to follow and we have some more flying to do tomorrow am as well. Dave

Day 1 is done! 8 pilots today and everyone flew something a few times despite some big gusts this afternoon. The airport is in great shape and we continue to enjoy the hospitality of the Rushford community. We are looking forward to a great Friday and Saturday! Dave

RE: P-140RX Twin setup
Hi, I run my p120s in the A10 just as you describe. ECUs are Y to throttle channel. Each side learns with the power to one turbine/ecu at a time. The start-up is set to "sequence". Once the throttle trim is up, the GSU is used to start one and then the next. Control is returned to the transmitter once the low throttle is learned, then ready to go. I run a weatronic receiver and then set the radio failsafe in the receiver program. Hope that helps, Dave

RE: EA-18G Growler Maiden Video
It looks great, I hope some of the suggestions were clear enough- especially on the struts. The plane will descend with a flat-to- a few degrees nose up pretty well. That flare only happened to me when I got prettty slow. Have fun with it! If you ever need them (I hope you dont..) I have a few spare main gear struts that are cross bolted etc.. Hope you guys have a great event this weekend. Dave
