RE: MK Cosmos build
Very little progress to report. Finally done with my kid's baseball seasons so hopefully back to work on the Cosmos. A photo of the fuse in rough draft condition. Lots of head scratching ahead as I don't have a well documented build thread to copy like my last MK build.

RE: Tipo Flying Again
Dave, my uncle moved to the other side of Tulsa (Sand Springs) a few years ago and dropped his membership due to the distance. We fly on his property occasionally. My maiden flight was at your club in the early 80's. I still remember the flight.

Vince, Bill is no slouch in the pattern history world either. My uncle was a member in Bill's club and still talks about his skills.

RE: Sig King Kobra Build
I finally flew my KK a couple of weeks ago. A bit sluggish, both the engine and the plane. After 5-6 minutes of flight I gave up and decided to bring her in. Unfortunately, about the time I told myself to keep the speed up it was too late. It stalled on the turn around at the end of the field and went in. Repairable but unlikely as I have many projects ongoing.

Crank is always good for a off the beaten path post. Maybe that roach would have helped me find a 50cc size plane I lost a couple of months ago.......

RE: Clean Up Your Building Area ?
Vince, one of the best things I have found to help me control my clutter is little clear plastic bins. I write the contents title on masking tape and even a single item now has a home. I have several rows of wire shelving full of these bins. Other than that my workshop is normally a mess.

RE: Dirty Birdy ARF
I cartwheeled, literally, a Great Planes (50cc) Extra 300 during one of my less than perfect landings a few yrs ago. After a brief inspection, even the prop survived, I refueled and took off again. Most club members couldn't believe the plane survived so well. A 'flexible' fuse isn't the only thing that will survive bad landings.

Scott, does Jim have the LA-1 kit ready to ship? I am considering this plane but know by previous experience Don can have the kit to me in a couple of days. As in Tuesday if I order tonite. Of course that doesn't mean I will begin building it anytime soon. I have several of Don's well made kits but haven't started any of them.....................................................

RE: Renovation, reconstruction, and building of a very nice classic plane
Avi, I use Citristrip to remove paint. http://www.amazon.com/Citri-Strip-QCG73801T-Varnish-Stripping-1-Quart/dp/B000QFCP1G It works very well on glass and balsa. No sanding, just wait for the paint to melt, then scrape it off.

Rob, good looking glass work. Other kit providers are running strips of carbon fiber in strategic areas. The kits that I have purchased like that look very good.
