RE: A tutorial on Selling on RCU
ORIGINAL: rcpete347 HI all, you know the saying, one mans trash is another mans treasure, well so true. Most people, when they enter a new hobby, start at the bottom and work their way up to the most expensive equipment, all that stuff, they no longer need, can be used by a beginner. Their are several points, I would like to share to others, from years of experience, to make every one happy. 1-never trash, someones add. 2-if you don''t have some thing nice to say, say nothing. 3-always post a picture of the items for sale. 4-always give a full description of the items for sale. 1-Quantity 2-Condition, don''t lie 3-Reason for selling, example, I''ve moved up. 5-when some one has some thing for sale, do a search 1-their profile 2-their rating 3-their recent posts 4-their location 5-their terms of sale 6-their shipping method 7-what is the actual cost new 6-Don't low ball some one, a far price is usually no lower than 50 % of the new price. 7-make a offer on ( shoppers control panel) 8-if your offer is refused, make another offer 9-as a seller, he has the right to pick which ever offer, he desires. The first come offer has no place in sales. 10-when a offer is excepted, send a invoice. 11-if sending a money order, etc. to the seller, I always like to email the seller a pic of the MO. 12-when mailing the item sold, I always email the buyer a pic of the item, just before mailed. 13-when you receive the item 1-examine it, immediately. 2-notify the sellar, you received the item. 14- and lastly, rate the sellar/buyer any other comments I missed, or you don''t agree on, chime in. Rcpete
to give you a tip as a commercial seller [;)] criminals will love you for putting yours and your customers full adres and email on rc universe. even that cheque details you just can read on top of the picture is a give away.. dont put your details out here.

RE: Another Skymaster Viper
ORIGINAL: Matt Chapman Also enjoyingnice weather in the northeast U.S.... so taking advantage of it and flying my Viper as well. I have 10 flights on it to date. I have a few smalll issues but nothing major or that would keep me from flying it. First flight the plane was very tail heavy... had balanced it on the aft CG mark.... rebalanced to the forward CG and all was good. I have been removing weight a little at a time until the jet flys the way I want it to. Flaps.... I too had thought about adding more down flap. Mine are set at 40 degrees. It's just the sound of the servos at 40 that have stopped me from going further. A longer horn on the flap would have been nicer I'm guessing. But I'll try going to 45 plus. Aileron deflection.... I set my throw to manual specs..... It's fine for flying arround.... but not too good for multipul vertical rolls. Any body out there have a higher setting for throwing the Viper around a bit that seem to work well? The last thing that is still bugging me is my gear. about 50% of the time when I turn ON, the gear doors open...the gear retracts, then extends and the doors close. Doesnt always happen. If I plug a servo into the RX where the sequesncer is plugged... it blips when you turn ON... tried another RX...same. Thought it may be a voltage issue with fresh charge.... seems not to be. Maybe reducing the ATV (end pionts) Who knows. Its not a binding issue. Anyway... I simply hold the nose up when I turn on and let it do it's thing. kind of silly for a 10k jet! [8|] This is my first jet and I'm still really liking this thing! Thanks for any input.
do you have the up and down valve reversed? (airlines and programming) a jettronic has a backup failsafe or like our flying scottmans says maybe you need to rebind?

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
ORIGINAL: Socomon Thanks. I have my mix set up the same as you. I thought proportional sounded better than all-or-nothing, but I have not tried mine yet to see how it works in on/off mode. My wheels/brakes came pre-assembled, so I do not know if they were greased or not.
they are not greased and its not needed.. proportional uses a lot of air , then you are better of ruinning a secondary airbottle just for the brakes . put little amount of air in it and they wont lock up. applying grease or oil onto the brakepad will only collect lots of dirt to stick ... since the rim is open

RE: P-200SX
ORIGINAL: SAP_2000
ORIGINAL: olnico The Hanson/BVM UATs are not suitable for the P-200 in case of multiple fuel tanks. I have seen tank suction, cavitation and bubbles generated in a perfectly leak free system with large diameter fuel lines. The fuel flow demand for the P-200 is simply too high for these soft tanks. You should really consider moving to a hard tank like the PST air trap or the Tom Cook aluminium tank.
Oliver. I am quoting you from the FEJ F-16 thread. Got my new P200 SX the other day[:D] One thing I don't understand since the P-200/SX is so thirsty and have high demands of the plumbing and fuel system, is why they supply the P200 with a Hausl fuelpump with the small 4mm intake nipple?? Had a look at my friends older P200 and it had the small pump too... Even my Merlin 160 is delivered with the ZP30020SF pump with 5mm intake nipple. Why don't JetCat use a pump with 5mm intake nipple to prevent cavitation?? Quote from the MTH web page from the ZF30025S/F pump: ''5mm suck fitting for a lower suck resistance. (cavitation)'' Have a look at the [link=http://www.modelltechnik.at/E300.htm]MTH pump web site[/link]
why dont you ask them directly? anyway we are running 4 or 5 engines at the moment , no problems so far even with our own UAT... we go from uat to pump with 6mm festo , just before the pump we change to 4mm. also noticed the pump runs about 5.8 volts on full power , so it does deliver what they say..

RE: JetCat V3 kero plug blown after only 34 starts - Normal??
Staale dont get upset, dont make a drama out of it[;)] you will have warranty, if it takes to long for you send it to me i will replace it for you for free. there is only one new one and that is the V3 plug. this plug has the same ignitor then the version that is build inside the engine. these plugs give little or no problems at all , my SX has over 150 starts at the moment and still runs from the first ignition. still please use a Lipo or a123(needs ecu hardware update) of at least 25C for constant power to the plug. the plugs and the ecu and engine can not be used to start over and over again. first check if it not ignites , look up its ass to see if the ignitor is bright orange,if these is no small flame during ignition fase there is another problem. most warranty cases i see if that the plug casing has become darker that means it has run extremely long and very hot. to a point where the power to the plug collapses , and wont ignite anymore. (to hot). people sometime start and start to see if it will start eventualy , this is not the way to do it. dont use a starting cycle to get air out of the system , use a full battery preffered lipo with at least 2500 25-30C (not chinese c,s) this will give you easy 5-7 starts. make sure you see the fuel pass slowly towards the plug , most problems we ever see is a to slow pump power in the ignition phase. wrong battery,s and to long and to thin cable towards the ECU. .
ORIGINAL: nxtdoor Andy Scholl, what size tank do you have in your Hawk with the P160SX. In your video you fly about 10 min. at what seems to be fairly aggressive throttle setting. I bought the tank that Comp ARF sells with the package and will be using a Wren 160 and am curious what kind of flight time I can expect with the stock tank. Jeff
i build the Hawk from andy the tank is a Boomerang tank with almost a gallon of fuel , i mounted that one in top of the fuselage. the smoke tanks are below that and hold another 2 liters of smoke fuel. works perfect
