RE: Lipo puff / batt suggestion
I love having all the power of 6s! It demands control of accelerating, braking and over all driving. I've got the esc turned down as low as possible and still can't full speed out of it, even if i take a whole football (soccer) pitch to accelerate the wheels still pop up around 3/4 throttle! I'm sure part of may be to do with not enough down force and the tires expanding but I don't care it's all fun

RE: Lipo puff / batt suggestion
Ok read all this and I lean towards the bigger/powerful the battery the easier the esc and motor have to work. What's the best batts for a savage flux? stock wheels, esc and motor but have the 25t pinion (coz the grub screw rounded off in the 20t) What's the best batts for the 20t pinion? Both set ups for 6s. I've got 2x3s 6000mah 30c or 35c can't remember right now turnagy nano techs. They seem fine and run well with both pinions. What do you think.

RE: Hobao pirate ep brushless conversion
Nice 1 mate thanks for the help! I was thinking about putting a mamba max pro esc and a castle motor. I know that may be over kill but I like the idea that if I wreck the buggie I still have very good electrics left over

RE: Noob in need of education.
I've had my savage 20+ ft in the air doing double back flips many times and it's takes it no problem. The only things I've modded is putting an extra 4 shocks on which was my choice and not necessary it just makes it look even more of an animal and I put the Tcs chassis plates on because I bent the stock from not landing jumps properly (my fault not the cars). if you want a car for mainly bashing but can do everything else as well includes speed runs with 50mph+ wheelies, racing on gravel grass or tarmac and even drifting with some 6in PVC pipe around the wheels the savage flux hp is definetly the one I would recommend. It's proberly the toughest stock truck out there

Hobao pirate ep brushless conversion
Hi guys I have recently been give a nitro pirate ep. I thought of selling but this thing is so old I don't think it's worth the effort for the amount of £ I'll get back for it. So I thought I might try and convert it to brushless. I've got a savage flux already so have an ok understanding of the electic side of rc. Can anyone give me some tips on what to do? Cheers Dom.

RE: Savage Flux Roll Cage
If your looking for protection for the flux I bought a fibre glass bug body for mine. I know it's not a roll cage but its very strong I'm 90kg and it can handle me standing on it. I got it off eBay.co.uk for about £46 I think which is a great price when you consider that a stock body is around £37

RE: Building a Buggy Eating Savage
I think this whole idea of trying to change the savage MT in to something else is fantastic!! That's what rcing is about, having fun a pushing the boundaries. The savage looks great and thank you for making this thread and sticking with it even with some of the 'stick in the mud' comments that have been posted.

RE: I think I killed the esc
Not that I noticed, it was driving towards me when I put the brakes on and nothing happened thankfully it was going slow enough that I could stop it with my foot. I thought the esc had to have power from the batts to work with the link or am I wrong?

I think I killed the esc
Took my hp out yesterday and after about 2 mins it stopped working battery's were fully charged iv never driven through water only gravel, road and grass when I tried reconnecting the batts I still got the pop from when the circuit is complete I even replaced the on/off switch with a new 1 and nothing. It just went dead. I took the esc apart I couldn't see any burnt marks on the circuitry. This happen to any 1 else? Iv got all the power settings on the lower side for ease on the whole system.

Anybody have a problem with this PM me.

RE: How can i start my Savage 25 the easiest way?
Each to their own mate I got 3 young kids and a business to run so when it comes to rcing I like to flick a switch and go and not have to tweak and test run and all that crap. I used to have nitro so I do have some knowledge of how irritating a silly little nitro engine is when it won't start even though it was running sweet last time I took it out or when a pull start snaps or roto start runs out or the glow starter runs out or the spring in the clutch goes or the owb goes or some other bearing pops.......ect Electric is easier more power full cleaner quieter all you need is a good charger and shed load of good batteries and you will out bash any nitro. Of course this is just my opinion

RE: My day...
Yup I think anyone who has driven there flux properly has this problem. In a nut shell the stock chassis sucks. The options are Brace this section of chassis with a piece of steel and fix it on with nuts and bolts Or Buy a 5mm chasis from TCS Crawlers

RE: Tcs 5mm chassis
Just got my replacement chassis through the post today they congratulated me on the amount of carnage I had done to it and said that I'm only the 2nd person ever to return a damaged chassis out of the 100s that they have sold. I'm secretly impressed with that. Before fitting the new chassis I was thinking maybe I would use these as templates and make or get made another set out of some tougher metal alu? Steel? Stainless steel? What do you guys think? Have you done this before? Is it worth the extra effort and £?

RE: savage body
These fibre glass body's are coloured throughout so when they get scratched they are still the same colour. Iv had lexan body's before and I don't like the way they break so easily after I've spent days painting them. I beat my savage not polish it.

RE: savage body
Iv just bought 1 of those fibre glass body's, I'm yet to go for a bash but I'm about 90kgs and it can take me standing on it. As for cracking that might happen but considering a stock body is around £40 any way I thought it would be worth checking out. So far I'm very happy with what I have

RE: Wheel size
Not tried those beadlocks but had a set of different beadlocks on my old merv. I would not recommend beadlocks for anyspeeds over 35 mph as the tires tend to fly of the wheel and it's just a massive ball ache to put them back on. But that's just my opinion.
