RE: Starting off, probably with a radian, what radio/battery and other questions?
Hi Deeds, I have had 2 Radians and it is a great Plane to reintroduce yourself to the hobby. As for Radio, If you plan to stay in the hobby I would go with at least 7 channels. A spectrum DX-7 is good choice. Lots of model memory and mixes. I have a Hitec Eclipse 7 channel with a 2.4 module from Assan works great as well, but the DX-7 is a more current set up. As for battery. Go with anything from 1500mah to 2100mah 3 cell 11.1 volt and you will be fine. 20 to 30 c rating. Go to hobbypartz.com and look at the Sky lipo brand or the Gens ace brand at the same site for a slightly higher price. You will need a lipo charger as well The blades do fold and the motor can be restarted at will. Flight times of 1 hour are not unheard of. A lot of information is available on this plane at the other major RC site: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1308946&highlight=radian Happy flying

RE: Got Glider Answers?
I may be telling you something you already know but the parkzone z-foam radian with a 78 inch wingspan is a great light air electric sailplane. very economical at around $160.00 ready to fly with only the addition of receiver and a battery. The motor is very powerful and will take it straight up at 70 degree climb-out yet it will thermal very easily with long flights with the motor off. It has only rudder and elevator control but still its a great flyer. Its has big following. I have had 3 myself and its an essential part of my fleet now. I use it for video. Highly recommended. Ck it out at: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=922597 Don ps I also had a minipulse another simple but great flying plane

RE: anybody flying Ultrafly FW 190 ?
Swap, If you read the post on RCusergroup.com about this plane, it has a long distance from the motor mount to the front of the cowl. Many have had to find longer screws and use spacers to get the prop out in front of the cowl. I was trying to avoid that problem but it can be overcome Thanks for your reply and I will let you know what I choose and how the install goes. Don
